The Bears will be committed to a veteran bridge QB to see if they can catch lightning in a bottle until they have 1st round picks again.

You missed on your Mitch eval, and the Bears know they have zero chance winning a Super Bowl with him.

There’s no way you can trot him out as starter in 2020. You will lose the team.

So your answer for 2020 is a halfway successful veteran QB that will cost way too much in the form of Dalton or Newton or a journeyman who has done nothing like Case Keenum instead of Trubisky?

I will take my chance on Trubisky for another year and draft a QB in 2021.

Dalton, Mariota no.

Cam, Bridgewater, Rivers, Brady maybe.

11 games of no td in the first half. The Bears averaged 18 points since the Rams game in 2018. He’s played over 40 games. Stop the insanity. He’s done.

Cam and Rivers are just as done as Trubisky is.

Philip Rivers just took a much more talented Chargers team to a 5-11 record and you want him in Chicago?

Cam can't stay healthy and his greatest asset (his legs) are on the decline as he enters his 30's.

Brady is a PIPEDREAM.

Teddy Bridgewater is a better option but the Bears will have to come to the table with a 25 million per year offer.

Packer DB in week 1, "We just wanted to force Mitch to play the position of QB and we knew we had a chance"

WOW! When have you ever heard a division opponent diss a QB in this fashion. Week 1 even! The Packer DB didn't care if the bulletin material was posted on Mitch's locker cause he knew Mitch didn't have the talent to respond.

Packer DB called out Mitch as the weak link on opening night. This was long before the O line fell apart.

Of course the guy said that AFTER the game, and yeah they played again, but not really bulletin board material 14 weeks later.

"We wanted to make Mitch play quarterback. We knew they had a lot of weapons, we knew they were dangerous, we knew all of those things. But we knew if we could make Mitch play quarterback, that we’d have a chance."

Also, is Mahomes doing the 10 finger thing if he respects Mitch as a quarterback? Everyone disrespects this dude.

Cam and Rivers both top 10 when kept clean in 2017 (Cam last healthy season) and 2018 (for Rivers). Rivers still better than Mitch when kept clean this year despite it being one of his worst seasona. Mitch is 24 out of 26.

Point being they have at least proven they can read and exploit NFL defenses in a clean pocket. Mitch still struggles even when there is no pressure.

Offensive line did not really go downhill til midseason. Mitch has been bad since week 1. He was impotent vs the Eagles game last year in the playoffs and it just carried over.

Remember, when your competition in week 1 says, "All we wanted to do was force Mitch to play the position of QB, we knew we had a chance" That's literally the ultimate diss for any professional athlete playing the position of QB.

Hard to sugarcoat when your competition doesn't respect your play and practically calls you out as the weak link.

Mitch’s pocket awareness and athleticism disguised the offensive lines deficiencies. It became more prevalent once Mitch got hurt and was hesitant to scramble.

It just snowballed once teams realized all they had to defend was the quick short passes, the offense was exposed. There was simply not enough time in the pocket for any deep throws except the bootlegs with extra protection. It’s more of a diss to the offense than the QB.

Mitch's pressure percentage was 24th in NFL. Newsflash. Every NFL QB faces pressure. Mitch did not face pressure an inordinate about of times.

The problem is for the 70% of the time he was not pressured he ranked 24th in passer rating. He simply is not good enough even when he has time.

The excuses for his erractic play do not add up.

I don't think Forte or anyone are saying replace Mitch and all of a sudden the Bears issues on offense are fixed. However, they are saying to fix this offense you first need to improve the QB position.

Fucking numbers (stats), how do they work?

\all the Trubisky ballwashers and taint lickers on the board, just a few too many to name

1. The fact that you have to quote 2017 as Cam's last healthy season is enough of a reason to not pay him the $20 million+ he will command. He has had multiple surgeries on his throwing shoulder and has altered his throwing mechanics because of it. Red flag after red flag.

2. Using previous statistics for what will be a 39 year old QB is pointless. You have to project what he will look like and the fact is, Rivers has looked horrible this year and lead his team to an even worse record than Trubisky.

The only QB that will be available that you can comfortably say will be a better option than Trubisky in 2020 is Teddy Bridgewater.

And there it is. A guy with more starts than mitch and less TDs.

5 seasons 3 teams.

Couldnt win the starting job with the jets at their worst.

But yeah lets bring him to an already bad offense and make it worse.

Chargers were before the season top 5 defense and top 10 offense.
