Former Washington DT Ricky Jean Francois signed a one-year, $3M deal with Packers, per source.

Well fuck. We couldn't cut Unrein and use some of his money for an upgrade? Not that he's earth shattering, but more talented than Mitch. Oh well. Looks like no Super Bowl this year :(

Francois probably just wants to play for a winning team money being equal

That's my guess. I'd gladly take less money to make a deep playoff push with an annual super bowl contender.

Hicks and Goldman are so good that Fangio is implementing a 2-4-5 scheme. Amos and HJQ will hold hands pre snap and have a competition to see who can beat the other to make a play.

It's ok we got bargain bin player CJ Wilson instead

Just like the rest of our FAs, bargain bin players for a team real talent doesn't want to play for

Well, that is their base nickle package that they spend 40 some percent of snaps in, so...

Ricky Jean-Francois - DL - Packers

Packers signed DL Ricky Jean-Francois to a one-year, $3 million contract.

Jean-Francois slides right in as a proven run stopper for a defense that started out hot on the ground last season, but faded as the year wore on. Headed into his age-31 season, Jean-Francois hasn't missed a game since 2013. He will be a valuable role player in Green Bay.

WTF BEARS.....had him in the building, and needed him. Tight Ass Pace

Seriously, why would anyone want to play for the cluster fuck known as the Chicago Bears when money would not be twice as much as a competitive team? Pace had to get in a bidding war with himself to pay close to double what other teams offered for Howdy Doody.

I'm not saying Francois isn't an upgrade over Mitch, but they both avg 2 tackles per game last yr. Mitch 14 games (26T) 1 sack, and Francois 16 games (32T) 1.5 sacks. Francois is a year older. I don't know their snap totals, but that doesn't appear to be much of a difference.

Anyway, we didn't need to ax Unrein to sign Francois. I would imagine Pace told Francois to give him a chance to match or beat the offer, and it's just Francois would much rather play with the Packers over the Bears... the guy's 30 yr old.

Fuck shit piss.....and to the Packers too....?! That hurts.

PACE had better be about to reel in one beastly DE/DT in the draft (or trade with lets say The Jets....?!) else he just shat the bed........

For all the bitching about Pace signing one year players, there is an awful amount of bitching for not signing a one year player
