I would explore signing him, but it won't be cheap.

Him getting out of the North is a huge win for the Bears. Charles Leno is popping champagne.

Agree - the Bears should at lest have a check in with his agent. Getting him out of the division is big.

Don't see any way we could afford him and still adding a legit RG in free agency and maybe even a TE or another OLB and still needing two ILB's and all the other needs. Agree with you both that getting him out of the division is nice but no way Zimmer doesn't replace him with a player at or around the same level. He's a defensive coach.

Everson Griffen is their Akiem Hicks. This is a big win for us, not that it will matter.

On the guard position, I am just not sure how much the Bears are going to willing to pay to go out and get a guard ( a lot of money already invested on the oline). The guard may come on the second wave of free agency.

That’s exactly what I expect. Won’t be market setting guy.

1. Eric Ebron
2. Trey Burton
3. Harris
4. Day 3 Pick
5. Holtz/Horsted

That would be an improved and deeper group.

Jeff Darlington on the Schefter Podcast handicapped the Tennessee Titans as the front runner for Tom Brady.

I mentioned this a month re: Brady, it's his connection to Vrabel and their ability to run the ball.

I want this to happen so bad.

It’s fashionable to shit on and hate Brady. I get it. The cheating scandal and then the jealousy because of the Patriots dynasty.

However the guy is amazing and I felt horrible for Vrabel because the Titans put together the most impressive playoff run that I’ve seen in years. And if they just had a QB they might’ve won the whole thing.

I hope it happens.

This is how I see it playing out with the day 3 pick only if intriguing upside pass catching te available...otherwise roll with both Holtz (backup to harris) and horsted (backup to ebron/byron and likely inactive unless injuries)

Why even bother with a day three pick in that scenario, just keep Holtz and Horsted for peanuts.

Yup. Both showed more than enough potential as backup TE's. Plus there is still the off chance that adam shaheen might develop.

Okay, that one made me laugh :)
