Whyte was signed by the Steelers off the Bears practice squad last year, not the Ravens.

We really need to pick up aa vet seeing this as a short preseason, Nall? UDFA Pierce? The cupboard is pretty bare at RB, no depth at all

There’s a very real possibility that Whyte could be cut this year by the Ravens who have Ingram and drafted Taylor.

The Colts drafted Taylor and wasn't it the Steelers who picked up Whyte? Balt drafted Dobbins i think.

Signed another UDFA RB.

Napoleon Maxwell, RB, FIU (link) In 4 seasons as a Panther the 6’, 215 pounder ran for 2,090 yards (5.3ypc), with 22 touchdowns, 30 receptions for 233 yards. He played as a true freshman in 2014, but missed the 2015 and 2016 seasons with an injury.

A power back, so as not to be so limited on short yardage downs ?

No, they need more speed. Mongtomery can handle the short yardage downs.

I just noticed CJ Prosise on the list, being a ND homer myself, he would be a good signing. Unfortunately the dude cant stay healthy.

If Freeman is healthy, I think he would be the best option.

Freeman is a bum. I've watched him his whole career in Atlanta. He's not the same dude anymore.

I think waiting for cuts is the way to go. I like Crowell but there's probably no way to give him a physical coming off an acl. There were a lot of RBs taken pretty high this year, and certainly a few guys who can play are going to be released. One of those three is Baltimore is probably going to be released, doubtful they'd keep 4 RBs none of whom is a FB.

That’s why I emphasized his health. I know he really struggled last season.

So you think they'll cut one of Gus Edwards or Justice Hill? I'd take a good look at Hill but Edwards isn't a pass catcher. They drafted Hill last year though so would they cut him so soon? I don't think so.
