Never been a Bettman guy but I don't see the problem with this. If it was your league and a bunch of dumbass companies told you they would pay you millions to put their name on the standings, jerseys, boards, ice, skates....hell, anything....who in their right mind would say no? Particularly now, with no ticket sales.

I don't want to be "that guy" but I guess I will: if you have any respect for the purity of the game, you don't want to see a diarrhea-inducing company like Chipotle plastered all over your team's uniform for the sake of greed (as you did with the US in the WJC). The NHL is heading that way. First it'll be helmets, then it'll be on the sleeves (like in WJC's). Then it'll be on the chest opposite the letter-spot. Then on the ice. Etc. etc. etc.

And it's like Tater said, this will "disappear" just like toll roads were supposed to.
