All we gotta do is play good defence on Irving and it's a win for the Bulls

Haha, yeah you're right, it won't be easy with Hinrich guarding him.
Irving scored 29 against the Wizards, I think we should at least keep him below that.

BTW, Rose and Irving have never faced each other in a game. It would be a really interesting matchup.
Irving reminds me of Rose in his rookie year actually, at least stats-wise.
Rose is obviously more athletic and Irving is a better shooter.Plus, Rose led the Bulls to the play-offs while Irving didn't(although it was way harder with the Cavs).

Only thing left to see is if Irving will elevate his game in the upcoming seasons like Rose did.

Excited about tonight's game, though. It'll be interesting to see if Gibson's minutes increase with his new "pay-raise". Can't wait to see Irving again.

PG match-up will be a key. Hinrich is going to have to limit the turnovers and provide enough D to slow Irving as much as possible. A big game for Irving could spell doom for the Bulls. Kirk shot the ball very poorly on Wednesday night. He needs to step up and contribute tonight.

Hamilton and Waiters are both shooters at SG and match up pretty evenly. If Hamilton picks up from where he left off in the opener, he'll be a big factor in the Bulls' offense tonight. Waiters was extremely impressive in his debut for Cleveland and proved to be a reliable offensive option. Whoever can score more between the two of these guys will give their team a huge boost.

Deng is a better defender than Alonzo Gee at SF. That said, Gee can get hot and shoot the lights out. He is an outside threat from beyond the arc and can be physical when he gets the ball down low. Deng is going to have to improve his efforts from Wednesday for the Bulls to have a shot to win.

Boozer won't contain Tristan Thompson. The Cavs are giving Thompson a much bigger role in the offense this year and he looks like he's going to take advantage of it. He played very well in their opener against the Wizards. He can score and rebound efficiently and provides adequate defense. Boozer will get his fair share of points against him, but he's going to have to try to contain him down low to give the Bulls an advantage.

Center may be the only position where the Bulls have a clear-cut advantage. Noah is a threat on both sides of the floor. Varejao is an excellent rebounder, as evident by his 23 boards against the Wizards, however he lacks a presence in the paint on the offensive side of the court. The key for Noah will be to exploit his defensive weakness and make him commit fouls early. Without Varejao to rebound, the Cavs will have less second-chance opportunities which may be the Bulls' number one priority if they want to leave Cleveland 2-0.

Maybe he's trying to build up his game-worn shoe collection for auctioning? Maybe for a good cause, or just extra cash? Dunno.

Yeah, I think Hinrich will probably be on a few posters after tonight. Lol

That's if he's not riding the bench due to the foul trouble Irving will undoubtedly put him in. :smug:

Though I'll say that's more a cause of Irving's greatness offensively than Hinrich's defense. Kyrie's a straight up baller.

Bulls are treating the Cavs like they are a playoff team, something the Cleveland hasn't earned yet.
