He's been stepping up.

I meant to congratulate Colliton on his line formations, giving Janmark-Suter a chance with Kane after the hattrick, and having the natural lefty power forward do pretty well, get one, and I think Suter as a net front presense with Kane gets good value out of those two without holding Kane back too much. Of course its not good that he didn't get a shot (Kane) but I liked the idea.

Kampf-Carp-Hagel up to the third line due to emergency...gotcha...and the joker line he assembled with Shaw-Soderberg-Highmore....I liked it. Good ideas.

That left a formiddable if not balanced top 6 even without Cat and Wallmark. This team definetely had more depth coming in than years past, but is obviously stretched now.

Also, he found Zadorov-Murphy and they performed great together. Not sure how you can stumble on that and then come off it a day later?! thats a wtf harry potter...but I'm sure results will get you back to it before I have an aneurism...I'll chill.

A 5 game point streak with this team in this division is equivalent to a 25 game point streak in 2016. "Miracles on ice" these guys.

Carp should get a CCS fruit basket for gluing this bird house together for a minute.

(also Murphy, Keith, Suter and the Marks)

Considering how undermanned they are, you're happy for a point. Liking Lank alot

We have to anticipate a poor OT/SO record given the goalie disadvantage every night. Its already showing up statistically and might get worse, but I think the work they did this week will at least keep this team out of the record books without too much consternation.

There will be dark, ugly, bad stretches in this format if the season continues, but its looking like they have the depth, scoring, and goaltending effort required to not get too noticed.

Shaw's better than half the guys in the top six......maybe more than half! "Joker line"? JC's the joker!

Its not Shawzee to blame for me. We don't have the right personel up top. He doesn't fit either Cat or Kane.
I'm more open to like....Shaw-Strome-Kubalik

I could get behind that. Your not wrong. Thanks for calling it out. I actually like that one and might experiment with it.

or Janmark-Soderberg-Shaw....

call it what you want, 3rd, 4th...

a "joker" line for me means it looks like one thing and is another, because Shaw can turn your forecheck into a goal in a hurry. He's a legendary poacher when working defensively, and so a 2-way line helps him get lost.

Ideal 3rd line joker if we have the right guys for him.

You're still putting a guy who's a better hockey player than half the top six on the bottom six because you see him as nothing more than a checker. Suter and Kurashev have been okay but neither are better hockey players than Shaw but they are Euros which obviously matters more to this European style coach.
