I guess this guy got Davante Adams money . . . hmmmmm

It happened on Monday, and it included a defensive-back-record signing bonus of $30 million as part of a four-year, $84 million contract, Alexander's agent, John Thornton, told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Alexander's new deal averages $21 million per year, also a new mark for defensive backs.

Hurt last year and only had 4 regular season starts. Sounds like an overpay.

You say this like they didn't just lose Adams and Zadarius Smith
They were 40 mil in negative cap space to start the off-season.

Losing those two wouldn’t have alone been enough cap saved to put them in the black.

Meanwhile, let’s pay Andy Dalton more than his new team is because our former GM was a moron.

Bears play the Pack twice a year and never once was there a thought, uh oh, don't throw to Jaire's side, lol

Highest paid db in the league coming off a major injury too? Extreme overpay.

winner winner chicken dinner Bears!

He is one of the top corners in the league... when healthy.

in pass breakups? But he does have the added advantage of padding his stats going up against scrub qb's in the division twice each.

Lions, vomit
Vikings, barf

Let's hope he's not using the same PED's that Rodgers is using.

As a couple-of-decades-removed former receiver, I meant pure coverage; I always watch the wide-receiver vs corner interaction, and this guy doesn't make a lot of mistakes and checks all the boxes. Stats won't capture when offenses throw away from him. I do think he's being overpaid though because I don't think he'll be able to stay healthy.

It may however set the precedent of what we'll have to pay Jaylon Johnson in a couple of years.

They actually made more cap space ($7m cap # this year) and the hits start next year. $20m and keeps rising. Seems like a lot to me.
