No doubt a long shot, but anyone familiar with southern Nebraska?
Taking the boys and the Mrs out to that 13K acre resy for a week of fishing and fun this Father's Day. Why am I leaving the gorgeous state of Colorado to visit Nebraska? Four reasons:
1. Road trip!
2. Nebraska is cheap! I booked a nice pontoon boat for two days because it's exactly half what I'd pay in Colorado. And you don't get it for 6-8 hours. From 800am-800pm.
3. Late night catfishing/stargazing.
4. Cabin on the water in a nice cove.
I have never used VRBO/AIRBNB so I found a good spot and contacted the owner directly. Worked out a good deal for both of us. That was cool for sure.
So, anyone spent anytime at Harlan County Reservoir? Any tips on catfishing? We were planning on driving 45 min to Kearney to spend a day and I've read about some good parks. Any recommendations for good family restaurants or fun things to do there?
Again, it's Nebraska...I get it. But you'll never know unless you ask!
Yes, we're planning on bringing masks (and small fireworks)!!!
