No idea is it's a good one but this is more likely going as planned than not. False reports or misdirection by Pace is unfortunately pretty common. can't believe a thing you hear until somebody signs a contract offer or a trade is made.

Honestly I think we believe all the media reports up to the minute a little too much. There's negotiation going on, and teams aren't above using the media in order to whip up fan sentiment as a bargaining chip.

the point I'm trying to make is even though we are hearing reports all over the place, I wouldn't even believe a quarter of them. We really won't know until deals are finally finished and there's no point to the bargaining anymore. At that point the truth has the best chance of slowly coming out and I take everything that happens before then with a huge rain of salt...

What I am saying is that just because the Bears front office is a joke, doesn't mean every report taking advantage of this is something you should believe.
