First off, this is only a rumor, however where there is smoke there is fire. Kane and the Rangers, yes rumors, but they came from somewhere and Larry Brooks is talking about it.

I agree Kane has some milestones approaching, but the Hawks need to Improve and he is the teams only trading asset to acquire top picks, every year the team waits Kane is trade value goes down as his age goes up. NY need someone like Kane to get past a Washington or Tampa and they know it. Chicago would be smart and create a bidding war for Kaner. It would suck to watch him play somewhere else, but the Hawks owe it to him to play for another chance at the cup.
NY want a cup, it’s been since 94, Panarin and Kane reunited may be enough for the Rangers to let Lafreneiere go, it’s not like Kane would be a rental, he still has 3-4 more solid seasons to come.
