NFLPA is one of the worst unions ever. They rarely have their players backs and cave in to owners demands like a submissive hooker
This is so spot on. They always have the worst cba from all sports. Sure earning potential is higher than hockey. But at least hockey contracts protect the players. We also just notice the top paid players and say to ourselves they make enough. Look at the middle of the road or bottom players and they have nothing going on from protection or any serious wealth that will help them when cut.

I don’t think all the blame can be put on the players union. Some has to be put on the players for continuously caving into new cba. They don’t take the tough stance of not playing like nba mlb and nhl has. Their contracts are so bad they don’t want to risk a year of salary to get better treatment

That they won't sacrifice a larger portion of the cap for retired players health etc is a travesty. Many of the guys that laid the foundation for these huge paydays are not in great financial/physical shape. James will likely get another lifetime supporting deal in a year but should never had been advised into this situation. Probably couldn't have done it, but should have walked into the facility, fell down and grabbed his ankle.?

The NFLPA is a horrible organization that has been mismanaged and lead poorly for a while now.

Whatever technical loophole Denver used to get out of this, they should understand that the remaining Broncos, along with the rest of the league who might be considering them during Free Agency, noticed.

They did it with Dasean Hamilton too. James seems more annoyed with NFLPA than the Broncos
