When it's all said and done, Mitch Trubisky like all ex Bear QB's before him (Rick Mirer, Jim Miller, Shane Matthews, Kyle Orton, Jay Cutler, Rex Grossman etc etc) will latch onto another team and be the same inept player and will gradually disappear from the NFL holding a clipboard.

This guy thinks Lamar Jackson sucks btw
Nice deflection. Being wrong on one account does not make him incorrect on the other. As Al Michaels and Chris Collinsworth pointed out, the quality of weapons that Mahoney has to work with is vastly different from the circus that Chicago puts on the field outside of Allen Robinson. Also compare the offensive lines. How many pro bowlers do the bears have across the offensive line?

Uh....KC has a bad O line. Can't get a push....not a good pass blocking O line either. ....no pro bowlers.....

1. If Andy Ried just schemes dudes open all over the place, why did we need Mahomes to begin with? Alex Smith should have been just racking up 40 TD seasons and winning superbowls these last 6 years.

2. If you also think that Mahomes wouldn't raise the play of ALL of any roster, including yours...you are really missing the point of what a franchise QB does, and what that means.

The title isn't asking about 40 TDs, it's asking about 1st downs. If you think the Bears need a Mahomes to get 1st downs we still got problems.
Their Oline was looking better than ours does with pro-bowlers. Nobody on this offense seems to know what to do in common sense areas, like when the QB scrambles our WRs stop.
You can call that quitting on your QB because he sucks but if they've quit on a 3rd year QB taken #2 they shouldn't be in the NFL. Mitch could be total crap. He could also be the average run of the mill QB you're most likely going to be playing with in the NFL for your whole career if you're known as a player who doesn't give it their all. For what they're getting paid they could run around 10 seconds longer. That is coaching too.

Another area is when their bad oline breaks down Mahomes evades, something Trubisky is good at too. So why do you think Trubisky hasn't been doing that all year like last year? Most likely that was coaching too. Both our QBs look worse this year, what could that be but coaching?

This team can do it, they proved it last year. They should be improving not getting worse after one post season like it was the Super Bowl hangover. The only answer is coaching. I think it is displayed in the no pre-season thing.
It's the same with Trestman having a good year then the team imploded because he wanted to be a nice guy player's coach instead of the guy that pushed them to their best.

those Mel Tucker defenses were historically awful too. there were Pro Bowl and All-Pro caliber players on that defense that looked like cunts. several players careers basically ended after 2014 lol. the Nagy team now is the inverse of the Trestman ones, Trestman's offenses couldn't overcome the amount of points the other teams were putting up... the Pagano defenses are probably bend but don't break, but they aren't generating the turnovers and they're probably prematurely worn out every game because of the offense's repeated 3 and outs.

Nagy's team is just undisciplined and shitty all around with the avoidable penalties. which is the polar opposite of what it was last year, weren't they one of the least penalized teams, like top 3 in 2018?

.....You don't suppose that easy schedule last year had anything to do with it and that the Bears weren't due for some regression from that and some very hard to sustain defensive metrics? Trubs will probably be decent if given support and more time. He wasn't bad last year....

I think Trubisky can most definitely who he has shown he can be in every game. For the record I'm leaning towards not firing anyone except maybe Oline coach and DC. Nagy is a new HC, he's more of a rookie than Trubisky is.

i was at the game and IMO when you're watching it w/ your own eyes it's a better perspective than TV....Tyreek Hill on the 3rd and 19 play, had Buster Skrine trying to guard him and was at least 6 feet away from Skrine, Hill gets massive separation, that's really the name of the game. Did nobody see Tom Brady yelling at his WR's a few weeks ago about getting open? Kelce on his TD had nobody within 3-4 feet of him.. At no point is Mahomes throwing into the tight windows Trubisky is throwing into on a regular basis. Wims lovers...get over yourself, the guy can't separate and can't come down w jump balls....he is at best a #3 or 4....Mahomes is throwing to Travis Kelce who is bigger AND faster than ALL of our practice squad TE's...Mitch was consistently having to turn and run because almost every dropback results in a jailbreak, one of the Chiefs Dlineman was defeating a blocker on EVERY play. I still think Trubisky sucks at the deep ball but Mahomes wasn't that great either....he basically zips 15 yarders and shorter and his WR's have great RAC. They say the TE is the young QB's best friend, look at Lamar Jackson's relationship w/ Mark Andrews...a HUGE target....we have a practice squad guy.

Mahomes sees the game and identifies the best option quickly, and delivers passes into their stride consistently. Much easier to get the rhythm and timing of the offense down when the QB is capable of that consistently rather than just occasionally.

Lol. He is under no pressure and throwing to wide open wrs. The few times we got pressure he could not hit the side of a barn from 20 feet.

If they don’t know by now, they never will. Talent and coaching aside, Mahomes is a smarter player and a better, more accurate passer.
