How long realistically will it take for Bears to hire GM?

Really, as in Bears fashion, they will hire someone after the best 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc, best choices are gone.

On the flip side, I would demand Ted Phillips to pick a few GM and HC choices, then cross them off the list.

I have no idea why they are interviewing coaches.....you would think having your new GM assisting with that process would be somewhat important. Of course, it's the McCaskeys soooo.........

We likely will find out about the short list sometime between Wednesday and Friday for GM.

Rick Smith

Jeff Ireland

That’s my prediction for in person interviews.

I think Pace was hired roughly 7-10 days after Emery was canned. With the amount of HC openings this offseason I would have to think that Chicago will make a GM hire by the middle of next week so that they can have the new GM make the final call on the new HC before the candidate well dries up. But maybe this time around will be different?

Last time I looked the Bears had requested 12 interviews with only 4 booked....if this keeps up they might hire someone soon to save themselves the embarrassment.

But hey, I did see Daboll scheduled an interview.

Serious question, why don't you root for another team if you fucking hate the Bears so much?

Serious answer: I've been rooting for the Bears since '82-ish and want them to win just like you do.

We will come together on this when they win.

I like the fact that at least Pollian is offering up a lot of candidates for both GM and HC to actually educate themselves a bit unlike in the past with the farce they conducted when hiring both positions.

I think they are weeding down the list of HC's that George will accept and then let the new GM pick from whoever is a finalist.

To think after they were 4-10 they could've fired Pace and had a new GM by this week to start to the coaching process...but nah....

That's why the McCaskey family fails as owners. What George wants shouldn't be even be an issue unless deciding if he's wearing boxers or briefs that day. It's blatantly obvious he knows little or nothing about NFL football as does any of that family.

The McCaskeys really need to walk away from the NFL.

That wouldn't surprise me. The other one I find intriguing just based on name recognition is Eliot Wolf.

Yeah he could be a good one. It really is a guessing game when looking at assistants. Fans just don’t get to know enough about what they do for each organization.
