Len and Bob also mentioned it so, I still think you are right.

Sports teams always deny what everyone knows happened.

I don't get the signing when Kiko Calero is a FA, and he's much more dependable than compared to Howry.

I know, I was hoping they'd get Calero during the offseason.

But since the Mets released him, do you know if he was even doing good for them?

He was 2-0 with a 10.59 ERA and a 1.94 WHIP for the Mets AAA team. Still can't hurt to give him a minor league deal

Damn, just said he's joining the team Friday in Texas, so much for minor league contract.

Hey, the team needs their players to have competitions with eachother. Howry and Grabow can compete for crappiest reliever of all-time, half-lol, because it'll stink when they blow every game.

YES! Just what we need .... HOMERUN HOWRY!

WTF!!!!!!

This should be grounds for termination for Jim Hendry. Honestly, were starting to turn it around and what does he do? Oh lets bring in one of THE worst pitchers in baseball.

Typical Cubs...

Who's next? Are we trading for Heilman? Howry got released from the worst bullpen in MLB. What does that tell you?

I would like to unleash hell beasts on Hendry.

Howry? Really?

Nothing like adding a 10.67 ERA to the bullpen. Woo hoo!

my dad and I talking.. Why wouldnt hendry go to Indians right now and try to get WOOD for 8th.... cant tell me indians wont trade him when there already out of it... Wood alone would help cure bullpen... Marmol 9th,Wood 8th,Marshall7th, and then u got the rest of the guys just for fill ins and mop up....

because that would be a smart thing to do, and experience has told us that Hendry is not one for making good decisions (minus Big Byrd).

but, God, I miss Kerry Wood. I would LOVE to see him back in a Cubs uniform.

If I remember right, Kerry Wood has a big contract that we wouldn't be willing to pick up. Plus Wood has been injured all season and just came off the DL.

That being said, Kid K is my favorite Cub (minus DeRosa haha) and I'd love to see him in the 'pen.
