I accidentally bought cherry preserves instead of strawberry jelly so I tried it on my pancakes.. was really good

My daughter made a batch of cinnamon waffles yesterday. I was skeptical, but they were great.
Whipped cream for sure, but still debating what fruit would work with cinnamon next time.

Had some blueberries and thought, why not some compote? Didn't look up a recipe but thought, how hard can it be? Some butter and blueberries in a pan with brown sugar and some cinnamon. Added a bit of water as need.I guess that isn't traditional but turned out awesome.
