Both, the Rams and Vikings need to lose two games and the Bears win out... after winning today, there’s no way the Rams lose two games now. The Bears are done

The silver lining for you is that now you can root for the Niners!:)...lol

This. Seahawks had to beat Vikings and Rams for us to have a shot.

I thinking Vikings could well lose a game and then lose to us week 17.

But zero chance Rams lose against Cardinals and can't see how the Cowboys are going to beat them given what a shitshow they are right now.

And on top of all that, we have to win at Lambeau, vs Chiefs and in Minny.

Too much.

I hardly ever watch the playoffs, I dislike most of the teams that normally get in. Unless Buffalo can make a long run, don’t see any other team I would root for. Not a single one in the NL, that’s for sure.

I was counting the game tonight as one of the Rams two losses. It doesn’t look good.

Won't happen but we lose that too as Rams are 1-0 in games involving three teams and we'd be 2-1...

Three or More Clubs
(Note: If two clubs remain tied after third or other clubs are eliminated during any step, tie breaker reverts to step 1 of the two-club format).

Head-to-head (best won-lost-tied percentage in games among the clubs).
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games.
Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
Strength of victory.
Strength of schedule.

I think when they say division, they mean conference.

...with the tie breaker scenarios. We'll probably lose one of the next two. GB or KC.

The Head to Head only applies if all 3 teams played each other. Rams/Vikings didn’t play so the tiebreaker moves to the next step.

Ah OK, so do they mean conference or division?

Got to assume we finish ahead of the Vikings in either scenario. And Rams ahead of us. Otherwise what is the point of winning the head to head?

Next step is conference record. Then common opponents (min of 4 games)

If this does playout with a 3 team tie, it’s going to take several steps to find a winner. I thinks it’s the Rams based on SOS.

Maybe, but we lose out to Rams surely because we lost to them?

I don’t think if there’s a 3 way tie. For example if the Vikings also are 10-6. My guess is the first tiebreaker would be conference record.

Maybe we'll cross that bridge when we come to it ?

I read the Bears win if it's a three way tie at 10-6 with Minny and the Rams. I didn't fact check it, but since I read it on Reddit, I didn't think there was a need to.

As long as we are still alive, I'm entertaining myself with all the scenarios that would get us to sneak into the playoffs.:

Lets say the Rams, Bears, and Vikings all finish 10-6

Rams beat Seahawks tonight
Rams beat Cowboys
Rams Lose to 49ers
Rams beat Cardinals
Rams = 10-6 with 8-4 Conference Record

Vikings beat Chargers
Vikings lose to Greenbay
Vikings lose to Bears
Vikings = 10-6 with 7-5 Conference Record

Bears beat Greenbay
Bears beat Chiefs
Bears beat Vikings
Bears = 10-6 with 8-4 Conference record

This to me is the most realistic scenario I can hope for out of the Rams and Vikings. The Bears running the table the last 3 games is wishful thinking, but a must at this point to even dream of making the playoffs.

If this scenario were to happen, from how I understand the tiebreakers, the Vikings would be initially eliminated from the three way tie for having the worse conference record. That would then leave the Bears and the Rams alone, which the Rams would win due to a head-to-head win.

Conclusion: We need Rams to lose 2 out their 3 remaining games, the Vikings to lose to either the Chargers or Greenbay, AND for the Bears to win out! WE GOT THIS!

The Rams I am watching right now are not losing 2 of their last 3 games.

That loss to the Rams killed our season in hindsight.

The last 3 games for the Bears are so important for the tone of the offseason, even though we are not in contention. We have to finish strong and Pace cannot afford for Trubisky to suck again.

A few more flashes from Coward, Bars, Toliver, Lucas, Horsted and co would also be great.

Any of your losses could rightly be said to have killed your season. Otherwise you would be 8-5 and right in the thick of it.

If we lose to the Broncos and beat the Rams our 7-6 has us in better shape.

We were garbage for five, six weeks so can have no complaints.
