The Coyotes are really good after the Taylor Hall trade.

They have been slumping but the Hawks always bring their best out of them for a couple reasons. Hall gives them a nightmare level powerplay, and they have been excellent when either Raanta or Kuemper are healthy.

I don't believe in rust at this level, I believe in rest. 10 days is a little unusual though so survive the first period and if fine touch is off a bit it wouldn't surprise me.

Cat gets his bromance back here, and just needs a shot or two to find its way and fix his confidence. Maybe some rest will get him right, he needs to more frequently skate THROUGH the hard areas. I understand he can't stay there, but he needs to pass through every chance he gets as that is where his quick hands and feet matter. Look for the unexpected shot and pass on the obvious.

The season officially begins now, the contenders and pretenders will be separated quickly. The Hawks need the W tonight, Coyotes are struggling Kemper is out, Yea the Hawks will be rusty after a 10 day holiday but they need and must obtain the 2 points tonight to keep pace in the wildcard race.

I know but the Coyotes are really good when they want to be. They have a few strong lines and the way the Hawks play we will have to absorb alot of their attacking pressure.

I'll be satisfied with a point here.

for whatever reason, arizona is 7-9-2 since hall arrived. (hall's gone 7g, 9a in 18 games)
their PP was a league 10th best (20.8%) before he got there and in the period of games he's been with the 'yotes their PP is 25th in the league (17.9%)
go figure.

Dang, the Yotes took a free fall in the standings. Last month they were sitting pretty in 2nd and have fallen off the ledge in the standings.

After a rough start the Blackhawks are right there. They need to get continued points producers other than Kane to make a run here. The next 2 weeks will dictate whether they become buyers or sellers.

That was a heck of a seeing-eye shot by Saad.

It was made possible by Dach who by going hard down the middle drew the defender to him and away from #20 vs. that guy knocking Saad out of his lane. Good timing all around.

Wow nice second and third effort there after Kane split the D.

Dach is right there point-wise w/ the much more lauded Hughes and Kakko. ?

No surprise there. Not one minute ago they flashed that Chicago was out-shooting Arizona 10 to 1 this period. ?

Can we please stop the KooKoo lovefest? If he's playing better....it's a move from brutal to awful. Hawks seem like they are always under siege when he's out there.

Gotta give them credit.....they are laying it on the line. A bit short on talent but not on heart.
