Get ready for the onslaught of cliches tonight. Playoff-like atmosphere. Potential Stanley Cup Final preview. They're going to be everywhere, and they're not entirely out of place when you have two franchises responsible for 5 Cups in the last decade on the ice. No shortage of star power on the ice wearing black or white tonight. The question is whether or not the teams live up to the billing. Chicago has seemingly been in cruise control for the last few weeks and it's cost them in a few games against lesser opponents. Pittsburgh still has plenty of playoff seeding to fight for, so on the surface this game looks more important to them. But the Hawks have a penchant for rising to the occasion in a matchup like this late in the season. The last Hawks/Pens game at the UC was one of the most enjoyable regular season games I can recall. Sign me up for another one tonight.

LET'S GO HAWKS!!

Should be a great game. Penguins have been hit real hard with the injury bug but Sheary, Guentzel, and Hainsey are all taking part in the morning skate, though Guentzel has been ruled out for tonight already. They are actually missing 3/6 of their Dmen right now. Hopefully the Blackhawks can take advantage and get back on track.

Crawford vs Fleury tonight.

2 losses in a row. High probability we bring it with things to play for, including home ice against this very team.

Right now the only team I don't think we can catch is Washington. Winning tonight would make me believe we can get home ice against the rest, and with Washingtons penchant for 1st and second round collapse, let them celebrate the Presidents...again.

I try so hard not to hate Crosby because he is the best player on the planet right now but he's just such a prick sometimes.

Line combos! Hot off the press! (not really)

Schmaltz-Toews-Panik
Panarin-Kero-Kane
Hartman-Kruger-Hossa
Hayden-Rasmussen-Jurco

That Kruger line should be fun to watch.

Go Hawks! Time for Captain Serious to shut down the game's best player.

I'm glad Q is looking for answers that mean something now and not just fucking around.

Find best fits for Hartman and Hayden with AA out. And Kruger for that matter.

Prediction...Hayden helps Jurco break some ice.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Not expecting much honestly...

Well, Maybe Oduya and Seabrook making me pine for the days of icing Boynton and Cullimore...but I don't really see either team going nuts-on-the-road for the win tonight.

I didn't realize Jurco finally scored against Lightning. Watching that game now because Hawks vs Lightning is beautiful speed/skill hockey everytime.

I know what happens so 3-1 lead is kinda depressing.

Anyway...the Jurco vibes are strong. Hayden/Jurco for another point tonight will make me happy, a win will make me happier. Also...would be disappointed if Hartman-Kruger-Hossa give up a point. I wonder who that line is designed to shut down?

I think the way the Pengiuns play...and the lack of respect I have for their netminders, Hawks 4-2. Crawford can hold the day if he decides to. We always get opponents best punch, so its nice to have a team our guys want to punch as well.
