How do the Illini finish the season?

With 10 games to go in the regular season, Illinois' record stands at 15-7, 2-6.

Illinois needs to win 6 of their last 10 to get to the magical 8-10 B1G record which would most likely get them into the NCAA Tournament.

I got them 6-4.

Wins- IU, PU, NW, PSU, Neb, Iowa

Losses- Wisky, Minny, Michigan, OSU

I think they get amped up and beat IU at home. Huge rivalry game and teams always play differently in those. Look back at that 16 win team a few years ago when McCamey was a freshman. Took IU to double OT at home when they had that really good team with Eric Gordon cough*fucker*cough.

But I could easily see them losing to IU, NW (since they already did once), and Iowa to go 3-7 to finish the year.

Welp, I'm 2 for 2. L to Wisky, W against IU. Realistic best case scenario is now 8-10 in the Big Ten. I think if we're at least 7-11 we're in the tourney with this win. Way too many good wins to keep us out at 7-11. IU, OSU, Gonzaga, Butler

I don't think Iowa is a bad loss.

They beat Wisky 4
Lost to Wisky in double OT by 4
Lost to Minny by 3
Lost to Purdue in OT by 3
Lost to Michigan St. by 3
Lost to IU by 4

They're a couple bounces away from being 19-4 and 8-2 in the Big Ten instead of 14-9 and 3-7 in the Big Ten.

Barring a disaster, they'll finish 19-12 and 8-10 in the Big Ten and will probably be on the bubble.

Even if the Illini were on the bubble, I think they make the touranment. Because of the comeback win at Indiana.

Yeah, true. But I think the hot start and beating Indiana will make them make the touranment. But they still have to win about hald there games. If they don't make it, that's the biggest let down Illini can do to their fans.

They do have talent offensively. They just don't play good D and don't have size - meaning they have a trouble getting rebounds.

Well now. They're 2-1 and SHOULD win their next three games. That'll make them 5-1 (7-7 in the B1G) with four games to go. On paper, they should split the last four and finish 7-3 in these last 10 games, and 9-9 in the conference. But after today's big road win, and looking back at the pounding we gave OSU, we could very well beat the Buckeyes in Columbus in the last game of the regular season to get to 10-8 and 8-2 in the last 10 games. Amazing how this team has turned around.

Myke Henry showed flashes of why he was highly rated coming out of high school. If he can build off this, he'll be a big key.
