Inside scoop, Pace to meet with Josh Monteagudo of Emporia State this weekend

Never wanted to reveal that I had sources because I come here for fun and didn't want to be pestered for info but just wanted to pass along something that I heard. The Bears and Broncos are meeting with Josh Monteagudo over the weekend. Yeah I know, whoopee shit, an UDFA...nevertheless I really like this kid and hope Pace takes a flier on him. Josh has good size but plays much bigger than he is, he will come up and blast motherfuckers and that's what I(and I believe Pace) love about him.

Realistically, even if Pace signs him, the chances of Josh making our 53 man roster(even after this year) are slim. Either way, I'd still like to see him signed by Chicago. Anyways, I'll keep you posted when I hear something.

Yes, he does. He can play undisciplined at times but the physical traits are there. He just needs coaching, bit of a head-hunter.

I'm not quite sure why he ended up going the D2 route, originally(I believe) he was supposed to attend Ole Miss. I'll try to dig some dirt if I have time later.

At first I was like maybe it was because of his position, but then I realized we are in the era where the Eagles gave up a lot of their immediate future because they believe in a 1-AA QB.

Looks like he has some instincts and he closes out in space well. Seems like a good special teams guy worst case scenario.
