So mine has doubled this month and has hit over 1000 GB.

Last month it was at about 500 GB, and the months before that, we were between 270-400 GB.

We aren't using the internet any more than usual....

How is this possible?

Someone piggybacking on your network perhaps?

Depends on a lot.

But wow, some apps are just growing exponentially. Off the top of my head, Spotify has blown up as far as backdoor data activity and file usage on every device people ask me to *clean up*. Youtube ads are going crazy in file size too. Just break down every app you use, you'll find those culprits.

Spotify Lite is supposed to remedy some of those complaints. So that's what you really need to do, is try to use stripped down apps when possible. Because the companies that buy the apps DGAF about you, not a single one. They all want to upload background information and use it to make money.

Had to choose between singling out a single app/service, or being fair and naming a shit ton. So I just named the most notorious one of late. However, it could be other apps/services as well. I just couldn't go off making a comprehensive list. That's going to be more the responsibility of the end user to see what is eating that data and making better choices.

I have to watch my jetpack usage for work, so I frequently check to see what my data hogs are.
Checking that once a week or so is a good way to stay on top of it.
