George hiring Eberflus

George hired the GM based on his willingness to hire the coach he wanted*.
Its following Georges pattern of going in the opposite direction of what the previous hire was and putting the coach he wants in place for the first time GM.

He went back to safe Lovie Smith reskin. Defensive first, family friendly, cultural building, acronym regurgitating bore fest HC. There is no clear cut proof and im sorry if im not willing to just believe everything they tell us after their history of feeding us BS year after year.

You want to believe Larry Mayer and DaBearsBlog, go right ahead. I'll believe their history of not only lying but constantly doing things the wrong way. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...I'm John Feinstein.

Eberflus’ second interview was scheduled before Poles’ second interview, and then suddenly when Poles got hired, Eberflus’ next interview got moved up.

That doesn’t have to mean George picked the guy. There are a few possibilities. But I can see where some pessimistic fans would connect the dots. We’ll never know either way, so I’m not sure it ultimately matters.

Pretty sure it's from ChicagoBears.com as well. Remember it being some generalizing comment about George being the responsible one for all the hires. GM Coach etc. Which was released before Poles was even hired when he was getting the committee together for the GM search. Thats not proof.

Because hes 36 years old and is being offered the top position in football in a top 3 market. A major plus is something i've been stating even before Pace got fired...

In Chicago under George McCaskey, you can have one good year and build yourself half a decade of goodwill. He admittedly is "a fan". Doesn't know how to evaluate the team. He's gonna get at least 5 years. First 3 is gonna be "fixing Pace's mess". Next two years will be "we're close". He either needs two wins against the Packers or 1 division title to get himself an additional 2.

I gave them a 20 links that says Poles hired Him and the owners were also split on who they wanted.

They narrowed the field down to 3 before they even hired Poles. Bill Polian was brought in by the ownership to find a coach. He is an Indianapolis guy. Guess where Eberflus came from? You think it’s a coincidence? The ownership after they hired Poles and Eberflus released some BS about it being Poles decision. Which makes no sense given the timeline. Unless they were letting Poles make decisions about the coach before they even hired him. I’m gonna go ahead and assume that didn’t happen. At best they let him pick between their three finalists. I seriously even doubt that though. They probably also did that so they could pin it on Poles if Eberflus fails.

Not if another team is offering roughly the same thing and letting me choose my own coach
