No matter how good the QB, a team needs receivers who can get open and create yacs. For years this franchise has undervalued the p;osition and whiffed when it took a rare swing. Comparing the Bears group to other teams, it's clear that any QB, from Trubisky to Justin Fields, is at a huge disadvantage. Yet, this glaring weakness is rarely mentioned.
Why?

huh? Just last season there was huge talk here of signing Arob to an extension so . . .there were lots that were for it to make him a top 5 paid wr in the nfl.

what a difference a season in a half makes . . .? Hmmmmmmmmmm

Offensive scheme is the biggest weakness. WR's are pretty far down the list

Say what you will about our boy Mitch. He looked to Arob . . . lots.

Fields? Well he can barely hit 125 yards passing so uhh Arob is screwed in that sense.

Arob is partially to blame for that. When you drop sure a TD pass from said rookie QB, your looks are going to be less.

Seems like Mooney is more vested, and Robinson is looking for a paycheck

In defense of guys like Arob and in part Odell Beckham Jr. it's got to suck ass as a nfl wr for the cameras to not catch you loaf cause there is no chance one can realistically expect them to go all out 100pct every route with little to no targets your way to keep you motivated and involved with the game flow, heh.

No wonder Odell pappy is butt hurt!

Your rebuttal isn't relevant to my reply

There are bigger holes to fill at C, OT, NT, CB, FS, SS.

NT maybe should be higher given Goldman's regression this year - he has 4 tackles through 5 games with 0 sacks and 0 TFLs. Absolutely disgraceful that this guy is still a starter.

Whitehair had a particularly bad day.

Yeah, They'll probably have to overpay him because they cannot replace everybody.

Pace has been a drunken sailor at a casino for years. Imagine if Fields doesn't get it turned around.

probably a reach but I think it may be the secondary.

at least with the OL you have hope in Jenkins and Borom. The WR group isn’t good. It’s not terrible though. And I feel like guys like Belichick have proven that WR isn’t as valuable as it’s been made out to be the last 5 or so years. How many super bowls did they win with extremely average WR cores? I know WR is important in today’s passing league. I’m not saying it has no importance and you should just sign a bunch of average nobodies and spend your cap elsewhere. But the importance of it is defintely overblown. And I think good coaches and schemes make WR’s some of the time. I know you csn say that for pretty much any position. I think it holds more water with that position though. Look at the browns. On paper they’re loaded at receiver. But their passing attack isn’t anything special and they run the ball most of the time anyway. Carr is having a good year. outside of Waller who do they have?

In terms of position needs you look here...

1 Center- There were some people debating if you should put Whitehair back there or Daniels, and I think they forgot the issues both have at center. Whithair can snap the ball in shotgun and Daniels isn't a vocal leader. You give Borom and Jenkins the chance to be the starters next year and maybe, maybe resign Peters or another vet like him who can swing start if need be.

2 Corner... By all means, this needs to be addressed I haven't seen enough from Johnson or anyone else that this doesn't need a starter from somewhere drafted or otherwise. Vidor still has a half a season to turn it around, but I don't think he will do enough to not put his or Shelly's spot up for debate...

3 Rush end- You have Mack, Quinn having a better second season... but with Hicks injury concerns and lack of a pass rush from anywhere else, got to find help for that.

4 MLB: A second one obviously should you still run the 3-4 next season. I don't think what we have is bad, I just think next year looks worse.

5 RB: In this league Backs are a dime a dozen, I get that, but the odds of paying Montey top dollar is slim. I don't know what he is expecting, but he hasn't done enough for me to pay him top dollar. Herbert honestly hurts his chances at a second contract... good for cap means you can spend it elsewhere, but it also means another hole to fill.

6 Safety: BOth starters are replaceable at this point in terms of being on the field. Why are they so low on the list... I feel you get pass rusher and Corner fixed, they will actually look better than they do know, Jackson more so. Not having the great players around him like he did in 18, shows just how limited he is as a player.

7 WR: ...

IMO
