LHP Wade Miley (left elbow inflammation)
Expected return:
May 10
Miley will start May 10 in San Diego, manager David Ross said. Miley logged four shutout innings for Triple-A Iowa on May 5 in his only Minor League rehab start since an elbow injury that flared during Spring Training. Miley threw 41 pitches (28 strikes), struck out three, gave up two hits and issued zero walks in a road outing against St. Paul.

"Another veteran presence you can trust to get out there and do his thing," said Ross, adding that Miley won't be on a strict pitch limit. "He gives really good feedback on his bullpens and his outings. He's somebody you can trust what you see because he's been doing it a long time." -- Shaun O'Neill (Last updated: May 9)

Miley pitches today. I'll be at the game. Wife got tix back in March and I'll bare through it.

One thing was interesting on the SD feed. Cubs BA matches MLB avg. .233. so it is a wide spread issue going on. I believe it is the abuse of the shift that is killing them. They are a ground ball team and teams are just playing them.

So there is no easy fix this year. But this is a pitching and D dominate season and the Cubs have been faulty at both.

Have fun. Never been to SD. Heard it's a good ballpark.

He is pretty relaxed out there. Much better than Clev's akward dance
