The Cubs pen is turning into a strength.

Even their B team shut the door.

I'm good with 2 out of 3.

Game over. Cubs have 3 of their better hitters (not Heyward) sitting....

Well I hope Williams gets rocked here. It is going to take a extreme scenerio to pull him from the rotation.

I see it as Jed is aiming at quick trade flips and is letting Davies and Williams build value. Davies kinda rebounded. Williams needs another turd to pull the white flag.

As far as I am concerned yank him and DFA. Put either Steel or Thompson in his spot and move forward.

What sickens me is how Jed does his business. Rent/sell vs putting together a competitive team.

The Cubs are not a small market team.

Does Jed set the spending limit for the team?

Jed spends with in limits.

Williams got yanked after 77 pitches. That just tells me David is thinking.

He gives up 2 blasts.
He shows him the fish reel sign.
He sweats and pushes a few clean.
He stumbles.
David scrambles to save the game.

The end.

But to answer:

Jed and Theo have had full control of what to spend on as long as it is with limits.

Trading Yu was to get with in limits.

So I see it as the first limit was no fans. This the panic sale.

Then MLB green lighted 30%. Budget went up so due to this and Jed signed Joc, Jake and Williams.

There was a delay there and it makes sense that there was a panic involved from overhead to even consider trading an ace with 3 years of control.

Now that MLB has greenlighted another increase there should be no reason why Jed could not be a buyer.

Regardless Jed went with the fan sale with Jake. Cheaper and it would appease the base after selling Yu.

Most of the fans are drunks anyways and there for the funzys anyways.

Win ?
Loose boo

Well he is from Texas. I read that one.

Sad. All hate me. I am victim. I have broad shoulders.

Great role model.

Other than the fact that this roster isn't worth buying with
