I believe he is better than Unrein and since we didn't get a DT in the draft, a necessity to get someone else in here.

Now this is what I've been wanting/expecting to hear. Depth? This guy can start, and had the #2 run stuffing % in the NFL last year. Assuming healthy, he'd be a great addition for our DL as a 5tech pushing Unrein to a backup.

I was just talking about how we should go after him earlier this morning but the problem is his health. KC cut him cause he failed their physical. He'd be a great addition if healthy.

I didn't hear anything about him failing a physical. I read that KC cut him to free up some cap space.

I like Williams, but he's more of a NT than a 5tech in a 3-4, imo. We already have that depth in Jenkins. To me, Howard is just what we need at 5tech. Our biggest hole on the DL is that RDE position in base sets. We'd have a formidable DL rotation.

Floyd - Howard - Goldman - Hicks - McPhee

Throw in Jenkins, Young, Bullard, and Unrein, and you have a real nice DL rotation, imo. It would be extra special if Robertson-Harris starts to develop.

We still have L.Houston as well who can play OLB and DE but we all know about his ACL injuries two years in a row and still not sure if we're not gonna cut him or not.

You're right, a quick google search and there's a lot of articles saying he was cut with a failed physical designation, sounds kind of weird to me. As far as Houston, I still think he gets cut to free up $8 Mil.

Guys named Howard have done pretty well recently for the Bears.

Hopefully it just means he got his shit together for the Bears. Not sure why they would bring him in if they knew he wasn't going to pass a physical. Would be a solid get for us.

Depending on when it happens, Pace could cut Houston and save between $5-6m. For a 29 year old coming of two ACLs, that is a lot of money. I'd say it's 50/50 whether he comes back.

I think Bullard is going to take a step this year. Loads of talent and production at FL. I see him starting opposite Hicks soon.

THIS. He needs a full offseason with our strength coaches and refine his technique. He could be exactly what we need there

What are the chances we get 4 starters from 1 class? Hall, Bush and Kwia are all up in the air too. Would be a crazy good draft.

Howard would be a great signing at the Bears weakest spot.

The DL depth is non-existent and we can't run out of bodies there again.

Love jaye Howard but didn't he just have hip surgery? For a big man, that's a lot to deal with.

One of the worst run defenses in the league could always use help on the Dline.

Sign him
Start him
Find another quality defensive player (or off tackle) like him who can push the depth chart from the top down
