Nagy said Jenkins can benefit from being active even if he doesn’t play.

I have a feeling this is a running joke you do now where you act like you don't know how to use the interwebs.

That being said, I hope he gets some spot duty or at least plays the role bars was playing earlier in the year if they decide to roll that package out.

Maybe a special teams snap here or there? Extra points or close field goals if I had to guess.

1 or 2 snaps as a jumbo TE instead of Bars would be cool

Jenkins only gets snaps if one of the OT's goes down with an injury.
I wouldnt mind seeing him block on FG and punt teams. Get him out there hitting somebody!

He's not going to play.

Why risk getting injured again and delay playing in 2022?

Optics win for Pace.

He’s going to play at some point. No way they activate him and give him a spot on the roster to simply sit on the bench the rest of the season…

he can’t be anywhere close to football conditioning, he hasn’t played in how long? Mini camp? I imagine he’s a swing tackle or something, and once they’re eliminated he gets in at guard.

Awesome news!

Bears have to know what they have in jenkins. Good to get a chance to see if his back holds up this year . . . 6 games left in the season as well ?!@!? He is going to get plenty of playtime the rest of the way even as backup.

The most recent bear draft headliners are Fields, Borom, Jenkins and Herbert. This draft can make or break the team for years to come. They potentially on paper have their starting qb, starting rb and starting LT to man the position for the next 5+ years and become core guys. Expensive positions too, all on rook deals.

A guy or 2 from this recent draft need to pull away from the pack and become all pro.

If they are smart they give him a few live snaps at tackle this game.

That's a given. I see him rotating with Peters. 15 snaps the most. He can also play special teams first instead of throwing him into the fire. OL is gellin'

I can see him being used like Bars has been, as a 6th OL on run plays.

Then again, that would be the smart thing to do, and visor doesn’t believe in that…

It would be great to have him line up at FB on a goal line play too. Just get his feet wet already! I want to see how the kid hits.
