Issue is, he was never a good blocker and I doubt he becomes on in his 30's
No worries, you already have an excellent blocking TE in Burton...

I'm fully aware that last line did little to ease your concerns.

I do agree that Rodgers doesn't really use the TE the way he should. As a long time fantasy sucker for Packer TEs it's been a long time since Bubba Franks....

Burton is a fantastic blocking tight end from the flex position. If he's healthy....thats the issue.

Graham isn't a good blocker, but we don't need him to be. Harris is a very very solid inline blocking Y tight end.

I get the move, I don't mind the move necessarily, what I mind is the money we spent. 16m/2yrs is a lot for Jimmy nowadays.

It does reek of desperation, he was overpaid by about 2-3m.

Can the Bears remove this deal before Wednesday?

lol no chance is he on par with garpax.

Garpax is god awful, pace has at least made some good moves.

Oh yeah?!?!? no good moves???

I submit to you: Cristiano Felicio, 4 years $32 million. You don't see the ROI with a guy that contributes 3.9 pts./game?

Will never forgive him for the moment when he stole a triple double from dwayne wade.

Both him and Jimmy would have had the honor that night. Thats happened like less than 10 times in NBA history im pretty sure, but shrek ruined it.

I don't mind the move. Like I said, he's top 10 in yardage and recieving while on the packers the last two years.

I don't like the fact they overpaid him by about 3m. Issue is we were desperate. My assumption is that neither hooper or burton wanted anything to do with this team.

I think bears had a ceiling on money for a TE.

Rodgers use to tear part the Bears with Jermichael Finley. He was a go to target for Rodgers for awhile.

And none of them are good

Define "good".

Graham is a decent piece. Burton is a decent piece, if healthy.

We have zero WR's outside Arob and miller.

Who's to say we cant roll both out at the same time, with arob and miller as our base set? Much better than the shit we rolled out last year.

I guess I'm just trying to be an optimist....

Once again. Imma emphasis this point.

Graham was top 10 in both yardage and receptions in the last two years combined for tight ends. Thats not special, not great, but its still something.

He's a shadow of his former self, his hands and finesse are gone.

He's a bad signing, but only due to the money. If they got him for 4-5 mill I wouldn't mind, for the money we paid for this guy its a joke.

what about Olsen? he might have been a better option

We already have one TE who can't stay healthy. Olsen has never been as good as Graham.

Then again. Why are we getting shit on for signing Jimmy Graham for what is essentially a 1 year 9 mill dollar deal when the Seahawks just signed the corpse of greg olsen for 1 year 7 mill?
