The Graham signing is not that big of a deal.

Bears needed a TE. They got someone who can produce at a good enough level.

I really wouldn’t lose my shit over this.

it’s a one year deal really.

Would’ve rather ran with literally any scrub over paying this fucking bum. He’s so soft.

The ONLY bright side to this is hopefully pace won’t fuck up the draft and reach on a TE in round 2.

This type of level headedness and common sense is very foreign around this board. You might as well be speaking Japanese.

pssst. The Bears have qualified for the playoffs just twice in the last 14 years. That's a long time of suck for the 3rd largest sports market in North America if you ask me, no? So if the fans are growing impatient on this board....well you know.

Allot of these guys grew up cubs fans and have ongoing issues with the pandemic lovable losers syndrome. It’s a very underrated virus that has plagued this city for a long time

Its only a 9m guarantee. Why is everyone acting like we signed him to 18 guaranteed ?

Shit isn’t Greg Olsen available. I would’ve been more excited about him signing

No he signed for 7m a year and has missed way more games than JG over the past few seasons.

Here is my main problems with it

1. He is turning 34 and has been on a steady decline in production for 4 straight seasons. The Bears are banking on him not continuing what is clearly a trend.

2. He doesn’t change your draft needs. He doesn’t open up much flexibility. You still need a long term TE.

3. He offers less than Burton as a blocker, so I am not sure how they work together, or who is lining up inline.

I’d have been happier with Antonio Gates and he’s 104 years old.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Indiana Hoosiers
Could the Bears be shopping Burton? A TE desperate team could trade for him for what is essentially a 1yr/$6.8M deal with an additional $7.1M option year that wouldn't be a bad gamble on a guy 1 yr removed from 54-569-6TD's. That would free up $5M in cap space and could get the Bears a 4th or 5th rnd pick.

Should have just stuck to holtz and horsted plus draft pick. They could have used that cap savings on a pass rusher. Can’t just keep throwing money at problems good teams develop players
