If the rift between Fox and Fangio is real and irreconcilable what should the Bears do?

You could have a scenario where the Bears likely draft a QB high. Fox is not known for developing QB's so we already have a bad fit there. Then you have Fox trying to replace Fangio with a quality DC but clearly he will be considered a lame duck and will have a tough time finding a suitable replacement.

I was staunchly opposed to jettisoning Fox not long ago but these are legit reasons why he should not be brought back next year. If Fangio does leave and Fox remains next year's team has the makings of an even more dysfunctional one than this season's version.

I've defended Fox for the most part also. If it's truly one or the other, you keep Fangio.

Stays as D Coord, or offer him Fox's chair if the word is he will be a HC candidate this year or next. If so, he will leave anyways right?
