I'd love to see other QBs on this team, do half of what he did. I'm not saying he's some QB god, but he literally was the Bear's entire offense.

Without Fields, the Bears may have averaged 6-9 points a game. That's even with some of the best QBs in the league. This Team's WRs, O Line, and defense is horrid! This kid fucking carried them, for the entire season.

I don’t doubt Brock Purdy based on elevating Iowa State into a feared offense.

No clue how he fell in the draft any more than I understand why Bailey Zappe or Dak Prescott did after impressing in college.

Meanwhile scouts fall in love with turds every year.

Do not get.

Currently, Purdy is surrounded by the best roster in the NFL with talent oozing at every position group on both sides of the ball. If you stuck Purdy on the 2022 Bears he would have been sacked into oblivion and struggled all year long. The Bears are practically devoid of talent. Currently, it's not a fair comparison.

This goober literally said this on the air today

Starting to think that he might be dbldrew

What do you think? Would you take brock turdy over bustin fields?

The Bears want all this talk out there. It's part of the game and part of making the #1 overall pick more valuable.

To your point about SF roster, he came in as a rookie and maximized the roster more than Jimmy G and Lance. Let’s not downplay what he’s doing. He’s executing at a supremely high level. Would I take him over Fields? No…not at this point. But it’s hard to run an offense and play better football than what he’s doing right now. We’ll see if he can sustain it. Fields will be fine

Okay, I'll bite then. Who is the sleeper QB in this upcoming draft? You clearly have an eye for scouting QBs that the NFL scouts don't, so let's see how that goes when you have to prognosticate it rather than "call it" after the fact.

yet Trey Lance struggled to get 1st downs when he was out there and Jimmy G was lucky to put up 20 points.

Brock Purdy has played great lately. To what extent that is because of his good team is debatable. It's insane how people are jumping all over somebody for making a fair comparison. People are ready to crucify Jurko for not bowing down to Lord Justin Fields.

Enough with the hero worship. It's out of control.

I called Prescott before draft…
Calling Zappe the 2023 starter is not yet even the norm.
And I haven’t paid much attention to college recently or knew projections heading into last draft but I did know who Purdy was and to avoid the hell out of bets against Iowa State during his tenure.

I can’t say. Not enough information this year.

I will say that Young from Alabama will be overdrafted and I wouldn’t touch him.

Stroud is less clear to me.

Purdy/Zappe>Young

Lance is trash and I predicted before draft he would be 5th best of 5 first rounders.

I believe my ranking was

Lawrence
Fields
Jones
Wilson
Lance

For long term. Jones higher for short term.

You're such a weirdo, even when you question the debate you find a way to shit on Fields and his fans.

Purdy fits San Francisco's offense perfectly. His footwork is excellent, he gets the ball out quick and he's surprisingly good at keeping the play alive with his feet... very good athlete. The thing is that the 49ers are a dream situation. Explosive talent at every single skill position, the best play designer in the NFL, a dominant offensive line and running game and a defense that ensures he'll have plenty of opportunties.

He has A LOT of easy reads, most being one read, play action in cutting routes. He lacks arm strength and I haven't seen him complete a 9 route yet. And he's been a front runner... almost zero pressure on him.

Not to downplay his success, though... he's been excellent and was definitely undervalued in the draft. All things being equal he's better than Jimmy G or Lance, though it's hard to know just how high or low that bar is.
