22.6 would put the squarely in the tier 2 shopping range, which is probably best.

They can backload deals into 2023 and 2024 when the new TV money is suppose to be in and the COVID caps are done.

The need for void years and all of that garbage should be done.

Isnt it time just to draft a late round punter Windy? It would be cheaper and find an upgrade to O’Donnell?

Curious...

Will Pace work on Roquan's deal this upcoming year or wait until the offseason of his 5th-year option which was recently picked up?

If an extension comes before for whatever reason (call me a skeptic given Roquan's missed time with a personal off-field issue in 2019, would he want a contract extension earlier and if he balls out why not engage his agent?), I'd be curious to see what those numbers would be.

Hell of a lot better than this year....

Cooper instead of Robinson  and you think the Bears will sign him for the same price as Dallas cut him?

Not saying no, but if we are going to offer anyone $20M, I think I would like to see Robinson back, he had an impact on Mooney last year.....

I like the rest, all common sense stuff

I think he meant resign Robinson for a contract similar to Cooper's 5 year, 100 mil in March last year.

Jesper Horsted impressed when he was on the field. Good hands. I’ve always defended Graham since he produced in the way he was brought in to do...but I wouldn’t mind seeing more of what Horsted can offer.

You could save about a million dollars. I am not sure they will see the savings worth the risk.

O'Donnell keeps himself cheap enough and non-guaranteed enough to make him hard to replace.

Sorry, that was the deal I used as a basis for re-signing Robinson.

I think the players listed are comparable to the guys we need to re-sign.

There is no way I sign Daniels to 11m a year. He is not that much better than guys making league minimum for us. Just draft more OL next year and sign an actual impact G or T in FA depending on needs. Bears fans get giddy because he is young but young and mediocre is still mediocre in the end.

Unless James Daniels balls he won't be back and I believe borom will start at RG or Rt and they'll continue to find players that fit the new theme on the oline.

I'd give bilal 8 mill a year for 4 years not 10 per

Yeah, there's a LOT of projection in that salary AAV for Daniels. Right now, Daniels is more of a 3-4Mil/year player than 11Mil. If he plays as well as he did in 2020 and doesn't have a game like he was having vs. Tampa before he got hurt, I still think at best he's a 7-8Mil/year type. 11M is top of the FA class money for a guard. Glasgow was the clear top OG available when he got that contract. In an offseason where Brandon Scherff, Billy Price, Wyatt Teller and others will be up for new deals and Quentin Nelson will break the bank if he's re-signed (5th year option as well), there's just no way Daniels commands that probowl type of money. There has only been multiple guards get double-digit millions on the market 1 time in the last 5 years, and that's because the Dolphins were desperate enough to pay Erick Flowers 10Mil per year.

If Daniels goes, you could likely go big game hunting at a spot of your choosing, CB, OT, WR.

Mack cap hits by year.....

2021 $30M ($27M dead)
2022 $28.5M ($14.5M dead)
2023 $26M ($6M)

holy f balls.

did NOT realize Mack would be costing us....1/6th of the cap? lol wow.
gotta pray he stays in prime form another couple yrs.
can guarantee he's gone after 2022.
was going to say trade Mack to free up space but that is impossible. nobody taking that contract.

We kept borrowing from the bank of Mack.
