I can't think of a worse start to a coaching tenure. Holy Shit, absolutely abysmal.

Coaches contracts are fully guaranteed. Schiano signed a 5 year, $15M deal and was axed before it expired. Lovie essentially signed a 5 year, $25M deal this offseason. Even if they tank this year Imagine if Tampa went out looking for a coach with 2 years remaining on Schiano's contract and 4 years left on Lovie's? They would have the highest paid coach with no coach on the roster.

Anyway, if they go 0-16 they will stick with Lovie and keep building through the draft.

For the 2004 was just as bad people..... You are not wrong.

I genuinely ask though, how can you even compare the two teams? This Tampa team has players up and down the roster. 1st round picks all over, big, not big, but huge money free agents on offense and defense.

I don't think they can be compared. But I also think Lovie will shitcan josh this off season, and use a relatively high pick on a QB and be judged from there.

It may look bad now but you gotta ride this out. They'd be fools to fire Lovie now. He's not this bad of a coach.

But, he is, he was just fortunate to have talent on D like he will never have again. Though, a talented O picking his D apart in the past wasn't exactly a surprise, and that was with the talent he had. I'n today's NFL, and without that talent... he's fucked.

Wonder whether they will replace Lovie with the offensive genius Blinky Tice?

I was honestly surprised they canned Schiano. I know he made a few mistakes but I think they should have given him another year.

They drafted Mike Evans, and not the guy that made Mike Evans. Still, Manziel is a fuck up. He should have drafted Derek Carr.

He will get a couple more years to ruin the team. He isn't a horrible coach. But move he gets his hands on personnel gm duties fuck you end up drafting shit like dan bazine okwo garret Wolfe etc
