It will be obvious about 4 games into this season that Mahomes is the best QB out the 2017 draft class. Not Watson, and not Trubisky. His ability to make quick reads, quick release.....and an ACCURATE cannon for an arm that he uses to throw strikes rolling left, right or from the pocket....we'll all be wondering how he dropped to 10.

Because he made so many good quick reads in that game last year? He's the poster boy for holding the ball until a guy is actually open and trusting his arm too much if they are not. He gets away with it like Jay did at times with a cannon arm but he'll need to be better integrated in that O to excel. He might but he's not what you claim he is.

Andy Reid is one of the best offensive minds of this era.

He chose Maholmes over keeping Alex Smith for his final year at 17 million and he allowed Nagy to be interviewed and leave.

SMith got them to the playoffs with a real cohesive offense.

Nagy was given play calling, then had it taken away.

If you want to really pick away at this, you can kind of read between the lines and answer a few questions.

How'd that work out?

Of course he kept his 1st round pick that he traded up for. Mahomes should have a good year but likely not lead the league in passer rating like Smith did last year.

He also let Pederson leave after a similar tenure to Nagy. He also never had full play calling responsibility in KC. It's what Reid does. promote advancement for top assistants.

Don't really understand what you are trying to read into this.

MaCutler, no thanks we had the original. Reid just made his biggest mistake to date. No playoffs for KC for the next ten years.

Reid had no choice in this matter. He didn't "allow" anything. A team can't stop another team from hiring a coach away if its a promotion. Only lateral moves can be blocked.
