He says the same sorry shit every time the offense looks totally inept.

but I’m not mad at naggy anymore. I’m not going to talk shit about pace anymore. Ownership said we are headed in the right direction after end of last season when these jokers were retained. Ownership has been the constant thing since the one lone super bowl win that has been holding this team back.
They consistently hire coaches that run their 1950's style offense when games were decided 13-10

Fans were asking if Matt Nagy purposely sabotaged the gameplan this week to ensure Justin Fields would remain the backup when Andy Dalton returns from injury. It's obviously not true, but considering how the offense looked and the plays that were called, it's a valid question, even if it's said in jest. Nagy was too conservative yet again at multiple times, didn't give his young quarterback a chance to succeed when it was clear the offensive line couldn't hold up, and just didn't seem prepared for an elite defense. It was one of the worst showings from a coach I've seen in a long time and it could be the beginning of the end for him.

I think there's already 1-2 threads on this OP, but it cant be stated enough. Somehow this boob finds a way to say the dumbest possible thing ever single week.

Its legit one of the dumbest things I've ever heard a person in a position of power say in pro-sports. You didn't play to a players strengths because that's what the defense would expect... Un-fucking-real. Now we understand why he goes away from the run game when it works. Cant run plays the defense is expecting, even if it is working.

Vs LAC he refused to call any deep shots because they were playing 2 deep. Nagy is showing a pattern of willfully letting defenses dictate what he does on offense regardless of what's effective or not. Completely gutless.

Nagy's team identity is the opposite of what his opponent thinks it is. That'll show you that you can't dictate what happens on the field, opponent.

Wait.

The one time he did roll him out it was directly into a blitz while he sent his entire OL faking a different direction and without a TE to pull to at least hold off one blitzer. He was horrendously outcoached. This was Fields first NFL start, Nagy has zero excuses.

Dalton will be back next week to dink all game with maybe one dunk and lose to the Lions.
Dalton will not be back for the Lions game from everything being reported

People have to try to think it’s a conspiracy, because it’s really hard to fathom an NFL head coach being this DUMB…….
It's mind blowing. and the fact that this shit continues to happen and there is no accountability just tells us how incompetent this organization is. If anyone wonders why i rooted for them to lose last season, this is why. Imagine running it back with these idiots.

I'm starting to think it more and more.

"Lets make Justin look 'not ready' so when Andy is back, the fans will shut up about it"
I said it before the game even happened. This was the best case scenario for Nagy. He gets to play Fields in his broken ass offense and say "Look, the rookie isn't ready." and he gets to buy himself more time.

Chess. We're not going to use the Queen, because everyone expects us to use the Queen.
Bulls. We're not giving the ball to Jordan, because everyone expects Jordan will have the ball.
Football. Whatever strength we have, we will not use, because they will expect us to use it.

What an imbecile.
You just made it so much easier for the opposing defensive coordinator. You yourself and handcuffing yourself. You are playing defense against your own offense.

Newsflash, Nagy, you are not the smartest person in the room. Not even close.

This reeks of cowardice, timidity and ineptitude.

But hey, way to lose the visor. Baby steps.

I'm hoping we're WAY past the beginning of the end!

"We can't try to run the ball today, they expect us to do that! We can't try to throw it either, surely they'll expect that. I'm leary on punting. Punts happen every game, they GOTTA know we may end up doing that. All that leaves is to line up for a fake FG every play. SUPERBOWL"

From the moment Justin Fields was drafted, Matt Nagy, Bill Lazor and the gang had to have been crafting plays specifically for Justin Fields. The Sun-Times' Patrick Finley said they created a proverbial rolodex of plays in the months since the draft, excited to use them.

Well, where were they?

If Nagy himself is to be believed, he left those plays on the Denny's menu because that's what the Browns were expecting. He intentionally didn't play to Fields' strengths, because he figured that's what the Browns were preparing for, he said after Sunday's loss.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Remember when the Bears inexplicably stopped using Cohen as a weapon in what could've been selective strategic moments because Nagy said other teams were gameplanning for it? A gadget running back is one thing, but now we're seeing it with a quarterback.

Justin Fields has a dead-aim on the run (usually). He can hurt you with his legs. He also---for better or worse---holds onto the ball too long. In what world should such a player just drop back 5-7 steps and stand in the pocket? What the heck are these plays?

Jason Lieser made the comment after the game that for all the talk of being excited for Fields to take first-team reps all week, for all the talk of being excited about Fields' unique repertoire, it sure looked like Nagy didn't want to use any of it. It sure looked like Nagy was calling plays for Andy Dalton.

It sure looked like Matt Nagy wants to turn Justin Fields into Andy Dalton.

Matt Nagy is incapable of learning. Quarterbacks come in, junk comes out. Play calls go in, junk comes out. Again. And again. And again.

He's manned one of the worst, if not the worst, offense in the NFL for going on four years now, and seems incapable or unwilling, or both, of adjusting that offense to the skills of his play-caller.

It's not getting better. Matt Nagy can't learn. And he can't coach this team. And I wouldn't trust him to coach *any* team.

that's how con man work. He's a con man. The offense he was part of in KC was not his. It's obvious. Nagy has no clue how to implement any scheme. He conned the defenseless Bear administration.

What burns me the most about this is that, from all accounts, Justin Fields was Matt Nagy's guy. Nagy was the guy who saw him personally. Nagy was the guy that went to Ryan Day about him. Nagy was the guy that wanted a say in who his QB would be.

And then that's what you do to the poor kid in his first NFL start?

Which is why they should hire a coach that has had success as a head coach before.

Matt Nagy is a fraud and does not know how to run a football team. He won coach of the year on the back of Fangios defense
