Be You honest:

Was anyone really under the impression that he was some offensive genius, or did working with Andy Reid make you feel much better about him?

That he "studied" under Andy Reid was what I thought made him seem like a great hire. Especially given that Mitch was going to be in his second year and developing, I thought this branch of the tree would work. Now we know that Mitch wasn't great, but Nagy got his quarterback. Yet, we see how that is going.

Does anyone want to admit to also being hoodwinked by this guy?

I think most everyone was fooled. I bought into the Andy Reid tree and the fact that Andy endorsed him so much - To the point of saying he was the most NFL ready HC he’s ever had on his staff. He had hot start when he briefly called plays and he talks a good game. We got, got. It happens

He did get his QB. However, he is a rookie and it takes 4 years to master this offense. #extendnagy

where will Fields rank on this infamy list of Ohio State QB's when it's all said and done . . . hmmmmm

I thought he earned to be fired mid way 2019. Not sure I was hoodwinked. I give all new hires/draft picks a chance even if not my choice before trashing them. It’s only fair no one is perfect. For the record he wasn’t my first choice but I didn’t hate the hire either and not many liked my choice(who ended up fucking over the colts-McDaniels).

It was a weak group of candidates overall. Flip, Shurmur, mcdaniels, Nagy …

He was able to pull a lot of his weird shit off his first season. I thought it was pretty cool. Never felt out of a game that season, even when they were down late

But when the league caught back up to him, he didn't have anything else. Play sequencing has looked basically random ever since

If an offense is so complex that it takes four years to master, it's a shit offense. How many players do you start with in year one who are still there in year four? That was one of the larger crocks of shit Nagy has coughed up to justify his continued employment.

2018 was promising. But teams figured it out, and it's been downhill ever since. At least we run the ball now?

I've been sick of Nagy since early 2019. I figured him out pretty quickly, too. Too bad the front office hasn't? Ugh.

Shanaham is failing far moar on the 49ers with far moar talent on the O side to boot. Shanaham was the true QB whisperer. Even the lone year he took the 49ers to the superbowl was due to their defense.

LOL at these stats and many on this board were loving them some Shanny! lol

If anyone says they weren't high on Nagy after 2018, they are lying. 2019 the doubt started to creep in and then the wheels completely fell off in 2020 during that 6 game skid.

I knew he was a fraud mid 19. But def was full go in 18 and going into 19.

Nagy didn't quite lose me in 2019, although I had some doubts. I placed more blame on Trubisky. Then we got a look at his offense with Foles. And then Dalton and now Fields and it's the same problems, different QB. Now, these QBs aren't world beaters, but there is enough talent there to at minimum have a mediocre top 20 offense.

The signs were there he was a fraud in 2018.

His continued in-game mismanagement and awful offense was on display in 2019 in game 1....nothing really changed all year...the last year and a half has been even worse.

Send him back to Century 21
