That's odd. I get the Cubs on WGN America tonight.

Actually now I remember, with the Rangers makeup game they switched the opening Cards game with WCIU.

Wood's PC is up. Looks like 3 innings to the pen. And can Castro go a day with out an error?

And that's what I am not looking forward to. I may have to quit watching at that point.

We need like 7 insurance runs right now to hopefully secure this game.

Not trying to jinx it, which I probably am, but hasn't Gregg not given up a run since joining the Cubs?

So about that Sean Marshall trade...

Wood has been good this year and hopefully he can keep his HR total down. However, considering the issues the Cubs have in the bullpen year-to-date, I sure wouldn't mind having Marshall here either. It's too bad the Cubs had to give up a real good reliever to net a potential starter. But thems the breaks.

As someone said on the CBS board last year, relievers are a dime a dozen. I guess not.

Are you out there Rich? Sorry guys, inside joke. :rolling:

For what it's worth, Marshall finished out last year, then signed a 3yr/$16.5M deal. Yeah, he's a really good bullpen arm, but given where we are right now -- meh. Good trade for the Cubbies, imo.

Good trade for both.

That's probably better put. Reds got who they wanted and locked him up, Cubs got a serviceable pitcher on the cheap that is currently outperforming expectations.
