I'm assuming the following:
1. A-Rob returns for one year on a "prove it" deal.
2. Graham also returns as a #2 TE for one more year.

Multiple trades for more capital:
  • Trade Recap

  • Chicago Receives:
    • 2022: Round 2, Pick 42
    • 2022: Round 2, Pick 59
    Denver Receives:
    • 2022: Round 2, Pick 39
  • Chicago Receives:
    • 2022: Round 2, Pick 45
    • 2022: Round 3, Pick 76
    Cleveland Receives:
    • 2022: Round 2, Pick 42
  • Chicago Receives:
    • 2022: Round 2, Pick 48
    • 2022: Round 3, Pick 82
    Las Vegas Receives:
    • 2022: Round 2, Pick 45
  • Chicago Receives:
    • 2022: Round 5, Pick 152
    • 2022: Round 6, Pick 189
    Atlanta Receives:
    • 2022: Round 5, Pick 148
  • Chicago Receives:
    • 2022: Round 6, Pick 187
    • 2022: Round 7, Pick 231
    • 2022: Round 7, Pick 242
    Buffalo Receives:
    • 2022: Round 6, Pick 185
  • Chicago Receives:
    • 2022: Round 6, Pick 193
    • 2022: Round 6, Pick 199
    Jacksonville Receives:
    • 2022: Round 6, Pick 189

    Now for my picks:
The first priority has to be improving the O-Line. Johnson and Faalele will do that, and the latter will make some huge holes for the run game.

After that, I get a #2 CB, a second TE (face it, a lot of 2 TE sets these days), and a young ILB. WR gets pushed to the 5th round, but that's where we got Mooney. I go for depth and some future backups afterwards, but think there are some real gems there, including the long-term backup for Justin Fields.

Um… an 85 man draft and you didn’t even take a Center!? Gtfo! lol

It would be nice if they could trade down in the 2nd to get an extra 3rd. They need to draft a starting center. (And sign one in FA) I’m more concerned about that spot than I am the Tackles tbh. I think the guys we have can (at the absolute floor) play as well as Massie and Leno. They can be re-evaluated before the 2023 draft.

Actually, I went for Zion Johnson to take a guard spot and to push Whitehair or Daniels to center. Fallele I took to upgrade tackle - Teven Jenkins looks pretty brittle, tbh. Yes, Faalele has been my "guy" at OT for a while. At a minimu,, he upgrades the run game.

I put protecting Fields tops on the list of priorities. Borom looks like a good option at one T spot, and Faalele would be, at minimum, a monster in the run game at the other spot. Daniels and Whitehair are good IOL, the Bears need at least one more.

This is literally the most realistic mock draft I’ve ever seen. Thank you op this is ? happening

I'd hope to see that happen. I like the idea to trade down and get some more players.

I don't think you will find a quality center in FA - my bet is the best ones get tagged, like the guy in tampa.

If its me, I go bonkers bringing in vet WRs - there is a really good crop of dependable vet WRs out there. Bring in 2-3 - having vet WRs will really help Fields out by being where they are supposed to be on time in a route.

I draft Guards and Centers early in the draft early. Meanest you can find - people with a mentality like Teven. Get at least 2 and if its worth it, get 3 and let one challenge Whitehair for his job.

Just fixing the WR corps and fixing the interior of the line will have the Bears with 4-5 more wins....

If we can get at least 5 5th round draft picks I’m calling it now Super Bowl. That’s paces power round and can turn this franchise around if he sticks up on 5th round picks. Who would you have mocked to the bears with 5 5th round picks? Remember Super Bowl is the goal

At this point, I'm about drafting a guard (Zion Johnson) and moving one of Whitehair/Daniels back to center. Then get Faalele to bolster the run game at tackle (6'9", 400 pounds is at LEAST good for that). Maybe one of Faalele/Jenkins/Borom ultimately goes to guard, although I probably go Faalele/Borom as starting tackles because Jenkins looks brittle. Fields got hurt twice this season, and I, for one, don't want to keep playing that kind of roulette with someone who's supposed to be a franchise QB.

As for WR, I like the idea of vet wideouts. But if the Bears are getting vets at WR, why not guys who already have a season with Fields? In other words, try to bring back A-Rob, Grant, and one of Byrd/Goodwin to go with Mooney and Newsome, plus a draft pick?

On defense, Quinn looks like a keeper opposite Mack for 2022 at least - and may make teams pay for double-teaming Mack. Trevis Gipson looks like a solid #3 EDGE. Hicks ought to come back on a cheaper deal (to reflect his injury history).

Thomas Graham Jr. looks intriguing at CB, Duke Shelley may be a special teams ace (his tackling has improved a LOT from 2020), and Burns has had some flashes. Even Vildor's had some decent games (just very inconsistent and another player more suited for special teams). A strong safety alongside Eddie Jackson's important, too. He's fallen off since Amos left.

All that being said, I think top draft priority is O-Line, then CB and ILB (doubt the Bears can keep Ogletree in FA). If you ask me, if the Bears don't get Johnson and Faalele, they're asking for trouble vis-a-vis Fields, and protecting Fields and opening holes for Montgomery/Herbert has to be priority number one.

Do yourself a favor and go look at the free agents list for wide receivers.

They are far and away better than what we currently have.

The one exception would be ARob but he doesn't want to play for us anymore
