The opposing D gets wise to teams constantly running from the shootgun formation. I've said this b4, Nagy has to run from under center to be effective in the run game. Plus it helps the OL be more aggressive when firing off from a 3point stance.

FFS, Isn't this the most basic requisite of a HC? And he has taken 3 yrs to say he is "open" to the idea. Then again he also said he wasn't stupid and knew they needed to run the ball more. Remember how that turned out?
That just shines a 1,000,000 watt spotlight on the difference between guys like John Harbaugh, Mike Vrabel and Matt Nagy. They just adjust as needed. Matt Nagy rams the same unsuccessful shit down the teams throat on offense for 2 years and then says he is "open" to changing his scheme, as if he is Hemingway being asked if he is open to making edits to The Old Man and the Sea.
