We're guaranteed a win now that Jeremiah picked the 9ers.

Fingers crossed but those guys voting Bears have to be homers. 49ers would be 10 point favs on a neutral field.
Only way we win is with a great disparity of QB play. Could happen but a lot more likely SF runs clock and picks it's spots with Lance.

Of course adam rank.

I actually do think the bears can win the game. Like most i think it will depend on how Lance plays for them. The game is very interesting imo but bears most likely lose. Hopefully it’s competitive

No reason for a national analyst to pick the Bears in this one that’s perfectly understandable. This season is about finding young talent before spending that cap space, establishing the new culture, and developing Fields, that’s it. If they happen to win more than expected great!

What I don’t understand is all the grief the Bears get for finally doing things the right way. It’s like when they traded for Cutler and Mack the narrative was “this is stupid they aren’t ready to win it all why do this? “ Now they take the patient approach and it’s “omg they don’t care about Fields or winning”. Can it ever be positive?

Other teams rebuild and it’s ok but it’s endless grief for the Bears. I get that they have Fields but I want to see him compete for Super Bowls for years, not have a false bump in wins for 1 year. This is a necessary step to make that happen. If he is what we hope he is this season will be invaluable to his long term success.

The Niners have one heck of a good defensive line.

The Bears have one heck of a questionable offensive line.

Seems like some pretty easy math to me.

It will probably end up being a final score of 9-6 just to aggravate both fanbases about their young QBs.

As a Bears fan, I am given confidence that lance isnt ready to lead the team, and is the weak link to exploit.

The realist in me understands that the rest of the team can win playoff games.

We have had so much roster turnover that I dont think this is one that can be predicted. I think we will look better on offense in the first half than we did all year last year. Who knows if our defense will be able to make key stops? I just hope that our guys show up looking better with a fresh start.

I thought Jimmy was starting?

EDIT: I thought wrong. He is not starting. Ok, I agree CHI would need much better QB play + hard nosed run D.

This game will come down to the following, pretty much in this order:
1. Which team makes the least offensive mistakes
2. Which team can run the ball better
3. Defensive Turnovers

Bears win a close one won.

Who exactly will play WR for the Bears after Mooney? . Pringle and V. Jones (not really blue chip receivers) are still not practicing. Yes, folks, receivers are necessary.
The 49ers have three outstanding ones, counting their all-pro TE.

Every week that’s all I want. Essentially a lions team without the crying and meathead coach.. oh wait..
I would LOVE to watch Bears games this year where there’s 5 or less penalties and they don’t burn TO’s cause they can’t get the fucking play in. Would be a nice change.
