Bears could have redeemed themselves last year and drafted Jalen Hurts with their 2nd but Noooooooo
They also went hard after Teddy Bridgewater with some reports saying the Bears offered him more than Carolina did. What has been so impressive about Jalen Hurts that you would rather have him than Johnson or Kmet?

He was so athletic he spent his first couple years returning KO’s, and crushing it, too, just so he could get on the field.

Evans had an amazing arm, was tall, fluid and athletic, but spent his Bear career playing for inept HC’s Jack Pardee and then Neil Armstrong.

Fun fact, I was at the game in NO in ‘83 when he and rookie McMahon QB’d the Bears in an amazing overtime contest vs a rickety old Kenny Stabler. Evans played fine but Payton threw not 1 but 2 TD passes to Willie Gault while also running for 161 YD and 2 receptions for 27 as well. It was one of Payton’s finest games... unfortunately a loss 34-31, but I’ll never forget Payton’s performance that day!
Lol.....he did do a decent job at returning kicks but he was only 6’-2”. That was a great game exc the losing part of course. Just like the game in Denver in ‘87 when McMahon and Elway dueled it out in a loss for the Bears.

The problem isn't the bears, the problem is with the "expert" scouts somehow under-rating Watson while overrating Trubisky.

Right now from the same school Lawrence is the concensus #1 pick, but somehow Watson was not. Does anyone remember a huge difference in Clemson's record betweenWatson and Lawrence? I can't.
Trubisky overrated? That made me laugh. He has always been pretty much rated bad

I think the better question is why is the ball brown? There’s clearly a deeper systemic meaning here at play created by the white man to subconsciously show their power over minorities by throwing around a colored ball.

Which of course explains why the bears don’t want a black QB, bc that would mean they’d have that power back in their hands.

This goes deep, if you can’t see it, then you’re the problem.

Because a lot of cows are brown.

Now that the NFL uses more modern techniques to make their balls...I always thought the ball should be fluorescent orange to make things easier for the players, refs and fans.

It's weird that the Bears always get this rap for not having black QBs.

But what about the NY Giants? Miami Dolphins? The Browns have a worse QB history than the Bears, they've only tried white guys too.....and their name is the BROWNS! The Broncos? The Rams?

It has nothing to do with the bears. It has to do with our failure gm

There's Tillmam's original post. I don't think the issue is "pocket passing dying...." But Qb's no longer being able to sit in the pocket 4-5 secs, order take out and hit the open wr.

I don't think QBs were ever able to sit 4-5 seconds in the pocket on a regular basis except with some notable exceptions.

The difference is extending plays by running out of the pocket.

Hence the difference between mobile pocket passers and running QBs.

and that was close to 20 years ago now.
But it shows its not a "family" issue reflective of ownership. It could be a Pace issue, many years ago I applied my psychology degree to dissect the Trubisky selection and pointed to the similarities between Trubisky and Pace. He drafted himself. Thats a racial issue but more psychologically broad and applies to the ego and all races not just evil bad whitey devil.

The McCaskey's will sign off on a large investment for a black QB. I believe everyone in the franchise is dreamy for Watson as we speak, but they can't control that. They will also take Wentz or Carr or Ryan or Russell as consolation prizes. Russell and Watson are the most desired QB's in the league whether you want to win now or later.

Personally I don't think everyone realizes how much better Wentz is than Foles. I'm surprised any Philly fan would ever call for Foles after watching both of them play there. Foles will throw prayers and give you a chance and a great team like they had can win with a chance, but Wentz made them dominant when he played that season.
