Truth here. Timing doesn't matter to me so much as who ultimately had the choice. In the case of the HC, that was Poles whom I do not know enough to trust or distrust. In the case of Poles himself, that was ultimately George and I know enough not to trust him at all. Timing was always the furthest concern from my mind imo.

Forgetting one important thing, he was a D1 QB. I’ll take actually playing and knowing the position over a couple years coaching the position any day. It’s a huge bonus that he also knows WR so well as he can then impart that along with his QB knowledge to the passing game.

Sure it is fair to wonder. Just as it is fair to wonder if it was Daboll or mostly Allen and improved weapons like Diggs and Beasley that led to Allen's improvement.
