There is no way cannabis seeds are worth what they charge now. Even hemp seeds at 75¢ each are high priced (considering how many a farmer would buy). If I had taken better care of the plant there may have been about 50% more seeds (I picked out the obvious nonviable seeds).
I haven't tried inhaling the deseeded bag, although I'm curious. I bet it's not noticeably weaker.

Just curious, but what are the laws like for shipping seeds?

I don't know what the laws are specifically but it seems pretty safe.
Sellers used to claim they were souvenirs not to be grown. I don't think that would've worked.
Now that hemp is legal and the seeds don't have THC they're saying they're hemp, which can be shipped.

International, you can't import seeds without a lot of testing so they get confiscated but nobody ever gets busted for it (they may get watched). There's a lot of stories about humorous notes from customs left in people's packages.

Domestic USPS can't search packages without a warrant so problems with sellers in the US is rare.

Buying seeds from overseas is getting problematic. Had a friend get 2 different seed purchases confiscated by customs. Then they sent him a letter stating if he attempted to buy again he would be charged with a felony. So now he is going through a seedbank in Santa Rosa Ca. Only problem is they won't take CC's. Have to get a money order and mail it to them. Then they ship via USPS.

Have you tried seedsman? They take any type of payment, bit coin, cards, e transfers, etc.

We need one person like your friend, but someone with time and money and zero fucks to give, so they can just take the felony charge and then fight the case up to SCOTUS and try to get them to force a Federal legalization.

We're in like the most idiotic state of being with cannabis as a nation..... it is obvious the will of the people is full legalization across the board.

Yes I have. I believe they are the ones that will hide your seeds in weird things like gardening gloves for an extra fee.

This is who I am using now and quite happy with them.

A guy from here, Marc Emery, who has been a dedicated weed advocate for years served some serious time in the States for selling seeds to Americans.

I knew him way back when I was a teenager in Ontario. He ran a used book store called City Lights, and I remember he rented a truck once when there was a garbage collector strike, and he went around to the poorer neighbourhoods collecting trash, and taking it to the dump for free.

He first made a name for himself by carrying, selling, and promoting the America Psycho novel when there was controversy to ban it.

Good guy, but hard to be around because he was so wired.

Is that Chicago customs? I've heard they were the worst for it.
The breeder I like takes paypal. Payment options are a real problem. Usually the first thing I look at for a breeder or seedbank.

I think because of EU's new shipping laws they have switched to localized distribution. They ship stock to countries and then sell from there. That's why the above variety isn't available to the US any more. You can get them from Mr Nice run by one of the breeders but the shipping cost is pretty bad, they explained the reasons better than Seedsman blaming Brexit.

"Screwed" with males? Do you not see the baggie of seeds above? I'd welcome a natural male, it would save me $30 on spray to convert females to produce pollen.
But no, the above variety is feminized so of course no male. But all the regular seeds I've sprouted that lived long enough to sex have been female. I've heard of others about the same company that have only had males. It's all luck of the draw and what the person packaging picks. It should be a 50/50 split of male seeds and female seeds.

I follow him on Twitter for legalization stuff. He can be pretty cringe at times.
When he did time it was a completely different landscape.

Guys like him are hard to take in their entirety. Of course his downfall is sexual misconduct allegations, which I can see being true. Power, in all forms, corrupts. And he was a geek with power, and fame.

The felony charge might not set well with the board.

The problem is the import of uninspected plant materials. Even if it's really cannabis they're going after they'd always have that to fall back on. And knowing how absurd federal punishment is I could see that being a felony like pumping gas into an unapproved container.

I can see all the sex misconduct claims in cannabis culture being believable.
It's been criminal for so long it's going to have criminal thinking. Then there's the free love hippies, and everything about hippie culture attracted people willing to use every bit of it, many believers in communes quickly realized there are workers and there are sponges. Even at the entry level we all knew those people who never had their own weed when anyone was around but were always happy to help everyone smoke theirs.

If you are a mmj patient in IL and haven't yet you should probably register with the new system. I say probably because I can't be sure if it's working right. It worked for me, and I got the email telling me how to do it.
If you didn't get any of the emails tell me and I'll dig through mine to find the link and the temporary password.

If you're totally in the dark, IDPH screwed the pooch transferring to a new system. People tried, and couldn't log in, or they did and then trying to change dispensaries messed up. Either way they were locked out.
IDPH's first answer was you can go to recreational. That was quickly retracted and now for the time being (I think) we can (still) go to any MEDICAL dispensary in the state and be tracked under the old system without registering to change dispensaries.
What's funny is this has been the system since medical was passed and we were told it wouldn't support tracking us in more than one dispensary. They are admitting we could've gone to any medical dispensary from the start. IDPH has once again proven they have been nothing but hostile towards MMJ and it wasn't all Rauner's doing.

In other news the illegal transportation is hopefully fixed now. Although they didn't change the definition of "medical cannabis container" like they did for "cannabis container" so patients may still be tied to dispensary jars.
Time will tell how the cops and SAs can twist the wording of resealable like they ignored removing the words tamper evident seal (to treat "sealed" like it was in the alcohol law to mean a tax stamp).

I haven't heard anything about the rebate from IDPH getting rich from medical patients. I'm guessing that was removed before it was passed.

Never You can purchase just regular seeds a lot cheaper and take your chances but I have never done that. However I have had shit genetics where the crop was greatly diminished and the plant is sickly.

You only buy fems or are you getting clones? Noticed any problems with herms and fems?

We can't legally buy clones in IL. Plus clones are a risk of introducing disease besides bad genetics.
