Defense stinks.

UGGGGGGH
He’s completely lost it. How do you pitch to Naylor with a .200 hitter on deck? Just like when he pitched to Buxton…

That’s a Little League loss. Shameful!

He’s a high risk data/feel manager with pitching sometimes. Like Madden.

We aren’t on these guys level and we haven’t had their daily conversations.

He may have been “saving” someone for tomorrow, or “trusting” someone today so they have confidence in HIS confidence or the whole team does the rest of year.

But over 161 games, I have faith that La Russa and Madden have won us 10-15 games more than an average manager would have. They are 10 game above replacement managers.

I don’t think you could possibly look at their body of work lifetime and come to any other conclusion.

They do some odd stuff and look stupid occasionally when it goes wrong, but I trust they always have a reason or a number to support their final gut decisions.

Sorry, he opted to pitch righty/lefty to one of the hottest hitters in MLB. The guy had just crushed a grand slam. The guy on-deck was right handed and barely hitting .200.

Absolutely idiotic… He better get his gut aligned with a functioning brain.

Yesterday was the first time they’ve looked the the team I hoped they would be. Sweeping the Yankees on the road in a double header while yielding only one run, that’s impressive. They were a questionable check swing call from sweeping the series.

Now build on it!

What exactly did he do that was "racist"?

Then again....the race hustlers would have you believe everyone is racist thus everything is racist.

I didn't mention anything about race. Thanks.

Imagine a world in which the answer to this question would actually make a difference in what you already think.

It should be interesting to see what the Sox do at the deadline. They are in such a shit division that even as uninspiring as they've been, they are still in this thing. I think they'll have enough hitting once Jimenez gets back....he fills a big whole in the lineup particularly with Vaughn stepping up. They do need pitching help.....should've stayed another couple years with Rodon. His long range picture looks bleak with all his injuries but the Sox window is open right now. He could've helped this year. They could also use a couple of more reliable bullpen arms as well.

This team was just happy to make the playoffs last season. They were hoping they could just do it again with their current roster. They did absolutely nothing during the offseason to actually go for a championship. If they make any moves it will just be to sneak in with no goal of winning anything significant. It’s the Jerry way
