I don’t understand why any third down play call with the game on the line would put the receiver on the wrong side of the sticks. I get I’m just some schlub on a message board, but jeez, when the game’s on the line, Nagy’s creativity and common sense go to zero.

Both the 2nd down and 3rd down calls there were horrendous. Even the people that tunnel vision hate towards Trubisky have to be able to see that, right?

An offensive thought: Bears have zero effort toward stretching the D. The Bears have tried basically one long throw—that broken play that went through Cohen’s hands deep. I look at other teams, and they regularly launch it deep every now and then to keep the D honest, and quite a few times, the jump ball goes in their favor. The Bears rarely ever try anything similar...

Jesus Christ I thought we stopped having pass rushers dropped into coverage when Fangio left

This looks like Trestman 2nd year just that we have a defense

Nagy is all about horizontal pressure on the defense, rarely vertical.

The Broncos should have ran it. When the Bears started blitzing like this.

Nagy likes to stretch the field horizontally. Personally, I agree with you. He needs to start stretching them vertically

Ok this is the game essentially. If the Bears stop them here, the most time the Broncos can get the ball back to drive for a TD would be like 30 seconds.
