COLE KMET/JIMMY GRAHAM vs. MIKE EDWARDS/ANTOINE WINFIELD
If there is any positives to come away with after the Bears, it's that second year tight end Cole Kmet was a successful part of the Bears passing attack. Making four catches for a career high 49 yards, including a healthy 19 yards after the catch. This offense desperately needs more of tight ends challenging defenses down the field to keep them from just locking in on stopping a rather potent rushing attack for Chicago. This is a great week to keep things going for Kmet and maybe even dust off Jimmy Graham to earn his game day check, as injuries to the Bucs' secondary leave them with two safeties well under six feet tall. The 6'6 Kmet & 6'7 Graham should be able to use their size alone to win this matchup all day long, as the focus has been generally about containing Allen Robinson and Darnell Mooney this season. The Bucs have the best rushing defense in the NFL, so the Bears are going to have to throw the ball and these two giants should be able to provide rookie Justin Fields some easy layups if he hopes to keep pace with the best there is.
SAM MUSTIPHER/JAMES DANIELS vs. VITA VEA/NDAMUKONG SUH
Discounting newly inserted right tackle Elijah Wilkinson, Mustipher & Daniels have been the most inconsistent players on the Bears OL. While they made good progress against Green Bay, they still allowed two sacks to defensive tackle Kenny Clark. Now it's back on the road to face two of the nastiest interior linemen in the league. They are literally a huge reason you simply cannot open running lanes on this defense and are also no strangers to getting after the QB if need be. If the Bears offense has any hope of moving the ball on Sunday, it starts with neutralizing the big men in the middle.
BEARS SECONDARY vs. BUCS RECEIVERS
I mean having Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown lining up for any offense in the NFL would give opposing secondaries fits. Give those receivers literally the greatest quarterback in league history and it seems like some unfair cheat code that you have no idea how to stop. It's going to take discipline the likes rarely seen out of this unit and I am sure Sean Desai has probably only slept three hours all week. Best of luck Coach!
