I think actually it was part of the game plan.

They know tendencies, so play super conservative and keep it close early, and then open it up late in the game.

We fired Nagy incase you didn't hear that would be his game plan which never worked

There are probably a dozen other calls they could have made that were just as low risk. A screen should just never be the first play of the game.
