I think they went through the grinder this year.
As an Illinois fan, I know their late season schedule (thanks to having to appease Michigan) was brutal.
But the problems go back long before this year, and surely others were negatively impacted this year from other conferences also.
In the past it seems BT teams would get in trouble being physical in tourney after it was allowed in conference but I know Illinois and Iowa can’t claim that was an issue in tourney this weekend

With Iowa exiting quickly, I will likely have a swift fall from the top. If I haven't already. I haven't looked. There was plenty of Gonzaga brackets out there tho that will rise to the top.
