I way to many openings to land both pep and Getsy I’d imagine. If they pull that off though, would be awesome!

The Bears tried that on defense when Fangio left...it was Pagano who had to learn the Bears system and terminology. It failed, but I'm not saying I don't want the Bears to do what you are suggesting. They should absolutely establish "The Bears system of offense."

First step is to get an offense that works. Bears haven't had one for 36 years.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
Exactly. The base and terminology stays the same, but each new OC will bring their own wrinkles, which will offset any "playbook secrets" an exiting OC would be able to take with him.

I hope they do this

Isn't this the structure of most FOs? Did the bears really not have these positions?
Correct and correct.

Remember that the Bears only fairly recently started using a GM. If you go back even just a few decades, you have an owner-selected kingmaker making all the decisions.

Bears need to get into the late 20th century, not to even mention the 21st century.
